5PM
Ha Eun sat on one of those cozy couch inside the boutique shop while Jimin was trying his suit for the anniversary tonight. The royal blue suit that he had picked out a month ago which was specially made and designed for him. She occupied herself while waiting by communicating with the staffs in charge of keeping the event from any trouble shooting. Instead of getting ready for the event, she had chosen that she'd accompany Jimin for awhile then get home to change.
After feeling like she sat down for the whole day, she stood up to stretch her legs and walking around the shop. Her eyes sparkled at all the dresses that was displayed in front of her but she had particularly fallen in love with one dress. A maroon turtle neck, mermaid dress. Jimin glanced at her, smiling. Expecting that no one would be looking at her, she reached out for the price tag. She gasped and moved away from the dress and went back to the couch.
Jimin was in the middle of negotiating that he didn't want the royal blue suit anymore but the burgundy that had just seen.
'Huijang-nim, don't you like the suit?' Ha Eun asked, referring to the royal blue, thinking that it's his favourite color, why had he suddenly changed his mind.
'Ani. Johda (It's nice). I just don't think blue would be a good color for tonight,' He answered and insisted that he take the burgundy suit. 'But I still am taking this,'
While the sales lady took the suit that he wanted he immediately had it on and he gave himself one satisfied look in the mirror before he spun around to Ha Eun.
'Don't I look handsome?' He asked with a proud smile on his face.
'Ye?' Ha Eun wished she had heard him wrong. Nevertheless, Jimin's smile turned upside down and he furrowed a brow at her. Realising that she had to ride on his narcissistic comment about himself she laughed awkwardly. 'Ah ne, huijang-nim. You look handsome,'
'Of course, I do,' He scoffed and looked at himself at the mirror again. Ha Eun shuddered and plastered a disgusted face.
'By the way, can you take that dress please,' Jimin said, particularly to the lady who watched him awe and pointed at the dress that Ha Eun was looking at just now.
'JungBiseo (Secretary Jung), wear it,' be bluntly said and sat at the couch while the sales lady handed Ha Eun the dress that she admired the most.
'Ah, huijang-nim, aniyo. I have a dress prepared at home,' She lied although she wanted the dress so bad yet it was her pride and dignity that stopped her. She did have old dresses that she hadn't worn for a few years already. One thing was that; would still even fit her?
'Geuraesseo mwo? You'll waste so much time driving back at home then going to the venue?' He said with his arms crossed. 'You should be honored that someone as handsome, smart and rich like me is doing this for you,'
'Eh?' She pretended to be flustered. If only that he wasn't her boss, she would've whacked him on the head, threw her phone at him and yelled at him like she did this morning, it would teach him a lesson.
'Please, wear it. You don't have to pay me back,' He presented proudly.
For anyone who had heard it, it sounded like an insult. Trying to hold herself back from answering him and from expressing her reaction of irritation and insulted, she plastered a smile like she always did.
'Huijang-nim, since you're done. I will excuse myself to go home. Thank you for your offer. I'll see you at the venue,' Ha Eun bowed and walked out of the shop, her heels clicking in each step on the marble floor.
Jimin, sat stunned. He suddenly coughed out as a sign of being offended.
'Did she just reject my offer? How dare she?' He muttered under his breath.
Once Ha Eun had arrived home, she dug into her closet, searching for the black dress that she had in mind all throughout the time she was her on her way home. Beneath the mountain of folded clothes, she had hid a rectangular box where she safely kept her dress. She pulled it out from her wardrobe and taking the dress out of the box.
After getting ready, she stepped out her front door and nearly tripping on her heels upon seeing Jimin leaning beside his car.
'Huijang-nim, what are you doing here?' She uttered, shocked.
He wasn't going to admit that he felt bad for insulting her after his realization that what he did was indeed a blasphemy. He wasn't going to start apologising and explaining to her.
'I'm giving you a second chance after rejecting my offer about the dress. Don't reject me this time. Please, get inside the car,' Jimin said, however, to Ha Eun, he soundes sarcastic
'Arraseo,' She nodded with another forced smile before she heades to the driver's seat.
'Eodiro gani (Where are you going)?' Jimin asked.
'To drive,' Ha Eun replied.
'Ah, if you didn't notice, Secretary Jang is there,' Jimin informed.
Ha Eun lowered her gaze to the driver's seat and found Secretary Jang smiling at her. Slightly embarrassed, she smiled and bowed at him before she entered the passenger's seat with Jimin. The ride was silent and Ha Eu merely just stared through the window while Jimin glanced at her from time to time, unable to understand himself.
When they has arrived, Jimin was soon dragging her every where he went. May it be meeting clients that were in the event, talking to his friends and entertaining women which he wasn't really interested in doing.
While they head for their table shared with Jimin and his parents for dinner, Ha Eun who had just sat down at her chair immediately felt the sensation to sneeze. She held it in, causing her eyes to turn water and her whole face red as if she was crying.
'Eomma, this is my secretary, JungBi---' Jimin began his introduction but as soon as he had glanced at her, he noticed his reaction.
His parents as well, watched; perplexed about the situation. He looked towards the table and found several types of bread on the table.
'Who put the bread here?!' He yelled hoarsely, startling the guests.
'A-aniyo, huijang-nim. Nan gwaenchana,' Ha Eun said trying to calm him down although she doesn't really know why he was acting so concerned all of the sudden.
One of their staffs came asking about what happened.
'Take those bread away and replace it with something that contains no wheat,' He said.
'Ne, huijang-nim,' The employee replied and scurried away.
'Why would you even pick bread foods? You're allergic to it you should know better when you reserved it,' Jimin scolded at her
'Huijang-nim, you particularly requested that for your table, you wanted vegetables and bread because you didn't want to eat anything oily,' Ha Eun reasoned out.
'Eventhough! You---I did?' He looked at her as if he didn't believe what she had just said.
