9.35PM
'Sajang-nim, I'm sorry for bothering you, but I really need your help again,' Ha Eun said upom calling Yoongi who wondered why on earth was zhe doing financial statement records and sales reports at this time. Then he realized, Jimin.
'Pass the phone to the security guard, JungBiseo,' He said through the other line. She did as she was told and Yoongi spoke to the guard for awhile before he allowed Ha Eun to enter.
She realized she had owed Yoongi so much and she hasn't done anything to repay him even in a slightest bit. While she was inside the elevator, she struggled to continue the financial statement report. She had to be cautious in every number and details she was going to key in. When she arrived at the sales department, she settled on main computer where all the sales were stored and finished the first report she was doing. It wasn't going to fast doing the report of the financial records.
'Why are you making her do all those work? That's not her job. We have people to those. People are resting at this hour and her; she's at the office doing unnecessary tasks you asked her,' Yoongi said, slowly being annoyed at Jimin who just simply didn't care.
'It's a test, hyung. Leave her alone,' He replied.
'I don't know what to do with you, Jimin. This is stupid and childish,' he sighed in frustration before leaving.
Yoongi drove to the office after stopping by an open coffee shop. By the time he had arrived, Ha Eun was still doing the financial statement report.
'Sajang-nim, what are you doing here?' she asked upon seeing him then her eyes quickly back to her laptop screen.
'Bought you coffee,' He said and placed it beside her. She stopped for awhile and stood up to bow and thank him.
'Alright. Finish your work. I'll stay here to keep you company,' He said with a smile.
'You don't have to, Sajang-nim. It's late. You should go home. The coffee is more than enough,' She uttered, feeling alittle ashamed that he had brought her coffee, now he was accompanying her at this hour.
'No time to argue, Secretary Jung. Time is ticking,' He said which silenced her.
She nodded and went back to working. By all means, Yoongi could help her do some of the task for help but, somehow, Jimin had a point on making her do all this. A test, as what he'd refer it too. Yoongi had observed as well that Ha Eun was different -- way different from Jimin's former secretaries. They weren't as determined and hard working as her. He had also tested that if Jimin tortures her with work for more than three times and stilled stayed, then she was one employee that Jimin will and shall never let go just like that.
As it seemed, she has only been in the company for a few months and most of the time and more than three times, she had been doing unnecessary tasks and experienced extreme torture as his secretary. She had once cleaned up Jimin's house, washed his laundry and ordered her around like his servant. Some would have left by now.
At 10.40PM, she had finished the financial statement report and immediately began with the last report. She secretly motivated herself inside her head. Yoongi was getting drowsy while waiting but still tried to keep himself awake. Throughout the time she was only sitting down, she felt piercing pains on her spin and arms. Her head was aching but she had to fight it just for the sake of the reports she had to pass and for keeping her job.
11.55PM, she was done. Her heart raced and she was in the verge of tears as she panicked on sending the reports to Jimim via mail. When the system had confirmed that the mails were sent, she let out a loud groan then her tears poured out.
She was exhausted and she felt sick. From the time she woke up, she hadn't eaten anything except for drinking water and coffee.
'Secretary Jung, gwaenchanayo?' Yoongi approached her then handed his handkerchief.
Jimin stared at his laptop and phone, waiting for seven mails to arrive.
'Guess she didn't make it. Too bad,' He chuckled and was about to stand up when both his phone and laptop with synchronised mails posted a new notification.
'Contracts and reports..,' he read. 'She finished everything,'
A smile spread upon his face and upon reading everything throughly, he was amazed on how she managed to finish it all without calling him and saying she was quitting and doesn't care anymore.
'Well, her tasks aren't done yet anyway,' He smirked.
'Mianhabnida, Sajang-nim,' she sniffled and wiped her tears.
'Well done. You finished it. Chukahe,' Yoongi smiled and patted her head. 'Come on. I'll send you home. It's difficult finding transport at this hour,'
'Ani. I have still have to print out all of this,' She said and went back to her laptop again.
'Let me do it,' Yoongi said and took her laptop and printing out all the reports and contracts.
'Kamsahabnida, sajangnim,' She bowed three times.
'You're always welcome, Secretary Jung. Now, let's go,'
She arrived home by half past twelve. Not even bothering to wash up, change or eat anything. She was too exhausted to even do so. She toppled on her bed and dozing off into a deep sleep.
Yoongi entered his house where he lived with Jimin.
'Did you help her do the report?' Jimin asked as he leaned at the rails of the stairs.
'Jimin-ah, even if I wanted to so bad, I don't know what help I can do since I don't know what useless tasks you made her do aside from the reports of the financial statement and sales,' Yoongi answered monotonously. 'And well done, you made a woman cry for the first time,'
'Bwo? What did she even cry about and how is that my fault?' Jimin questioned and wrinkled his forehead.
'You're so naive and childish, you know that? The woman hasn't eaten anything since you made her run errands until this deadly hour. How do you expect she'll react?' Yoongi snapped and glared at him before he walked away to his room, leaving Jimin stunned.
