The thunder clapped loudly followed by the flash of lightning. Thereafter, it drizzled before it turned into a heavy rainfall. With a bouquet on his hand, he fought his way through the bypassers carefully and looked at the flowers cautiously from time to time. His tousled hair had been drenched and the moment he stopped in front of his beloved's apartment, he spruced up himself and rang on the door bell. His heart drummed hard against his chest. He doubted that she would open the door after the quarrel that had happened last night over something he realized was completely foolish.

He admitted that it was entirely his mistake when he had accused his girlfriend on cheating on him with another guy. Right now, all he wanted to was to make up with her, apologize to her and spend his birthday with her. He wasn't going to stop until she had forgiven him. She had warned him never to step on her apartment ever again and she never wanted to see him for ever. Those words weren't going to stop him from doing whatever it took to have her beautiful smile back on her face to make up all those tears she had cried last night. As he rang the bell once more, his feelings both excited and scared; the sound only echoed around the hushed, desolated living room.

He attempted to reach her through her phone but it was simply ringing and shortly after, it was declined. He assumed that she was still mad and thought that perhaps, she was inside just not wanting to open the door. Again, he tried his luck by lifting the fern plant pot from its place. His heart jumped when he found the spare key still there. He immediately unlocked the door and found the living room empty and only the television turned on and her phone was by the table.  He routed towards her room and pushed the door open.

'Jagi---'

His world stopped and his heart raced faster. His throat felt dry and somehow, he wanted to persuade himself by the pip talking that he was just dreaming. He wished it was. She stared at him in hysteria while his mind had gone blank. His hands trembled and the flowers that he so cautiously protected for her dropped on the ground. His gazed fixed at her for a few moments before it averted to the man that she laid with on her bed.

'O-Oppa, I can explain,' She stuttered and approached him.

His hands formed into a tight fist until his knuckles had gone white. His face only displayed emotion of pain and trauma but anger boiled inside him. When her warm hands reached for his cold ones, his flexes had reacted before his mind could even think about it. He snapped back to his senses, turned his back and left.

'Oppa, butakhae. Chamkaman(I beg you. Wait)!' She begged with tears streaming down her eyes and her voice cracking. 'Let me explain,'

Jimin's tears formed as he looked back at her. 'Explain what, Areum? I'm not blind. I saw what I needed to see and that's it. We're over!'

'Jimin, please don't leave me,' She begged and ran to hug me. She tightly held him and cried on his shoulders.

Jimin was puzzled. She made out with another guy yet, she's begging him to not go. However, as much as he wanted to stay, wipe those tears in her eyes, kiss her and hug her so hard; this was over. He was through with being stupid and being blind from all her mistakes. With pathos, he pushed her away gently.

'I'm done, Areum,' He said which broke his heart even more as tears rolled down his cheeks.

'Jimin, saranghaeyo ,' She said, hoping it would make him stay but he kept walking and never looked back.

He walked along the streets, head ducked down and tears ever stopping. Memories flashed inside his head and the rest came rushing in like a storm. It made him crazy and he felt that he'd go insane from the pain. He wished he was dreaming--if he was; this was a night mare and he had to wake up.

Love, how cruel it was. He was ready to give her everything she wanted. He dreamt of marrying her and making her the happiest woman in the world. Howbeit, her priorities and dreams never included Jimin the way he dreamt about fantasy with her. She was all about the money, he had realized. He was too in love with her that he was too blind to see if she really loved him. He began to question himself about what he lacked that she did this-- what has he done? Did she ever love him the way he did? Was she head over heels with him the way he was?

Questions unanswered flooded his mind.  The promises she made and the things she said, she had lied. The I love you's, they were all lies.

Girls; for him now, they meant nothing. He vowed to himself that he was never ever falling in love ever again and he's going to stand up to that.
