Character Bios

Ringmaster is the eldest of all the mental at the Cirque. He educates others on matters concerning mental health. He suffers from paranoid schizophrenia, and delusional episodes. Typically a caring man who wants to help others avoid the mad house. He runs the Cirque and everyone else listens to his words as law.

Lion is a male with sadistic tendencies mixed with nihilism. He often attacks anyone that opposes him. He is a right hand man to The Ringmaster since he has no problem stopping people from opposing him. However, his act is Lion taming.

Whisper is a girl with schizophrenic paranoia. She doesn't trust anyone new to the Cirque, and clings close to Dancer and Blade. She works as a hypnotist, hypnotizing the audience to her will.

Dancer is a masochistic mute. She is in a committed relationship with Whisper and most often Whisper speaks for Dancer. She takes care of the others, and doesn't have a true act. But enhances the act of her lovers.

Blade is a boy with Sadistic tendencies and a strong attachment to his girlfriend, Target. He does not let anyone else touch his love. However, he is also fond of knives. His act is knife throwing at a target, his Target.

Target is a girl with Masochistic tendencies and a yandere for her love, Blade. In their alone time they do call each other their by old names, however never around the others. Her act is being the target for Blade.

Flame is a boy that is a sadomasochist, a pyromaniac, and has sensory issues, not always seeing or hearing things others say or do. His act is alongside Switch and Doll, he works with fire hoops.

Switch a boy with Dissociative Identity Disorder, he does not speak of what caused his disorder and often denies having it. However, his Alters that do go by actual names of Savanna and Cliff are aware and are open about being alters with a few members of the Cirque. He works alongside Flame and Doll, he juggles flaming knives.

Blind is a girl with body integrity disorder. She mutilated her eyes so that she would go blind, and now wears a silk cover over her eyes to avoid scaring the younger members of the Cirque. She learned how to silk dance and somehow does it blind for the shows.

Doll is a girl with visual agnosia, she also holds the belief that her body is made of porcelain, hence her name. Her job in shows is to help light and manage the fires for Switch and Flame's act, and occasionally help the others. 

Snake is a girl with obsessive compulsive disorder, and she holds the belief that she is part snake. She will do her makeup to represent her "true form", which includes scales on the right side of her face, patches of scales on her neck, and she makes her nose look closer to snakes. She is a snake hypnotist.

Cut is a boy with a sub-type of sadism, called explosive sadism. He has been known to attack people on the street and he has tried to kidnap and torture someone before. He chooses to not have a performance, but rather welcome people into the show. Luckily he has not harmed anyone yet.

Bite is a girl that is an abuse victim who came to the Cirque for sanctuary, but ended up staying due to suffering from Pica. She is a contortionist.

The Twins are a pair of fraternal twins that are considered "genuinely creepy". The two are always touching, and often hold hands as they walk together. And when they speak it is either in sync, or they are making sentences together. When referring to one of the twins instead of the two, people often use "Girl" and "Boy". Together The Twins perform acrobatics.

Poison is a boy that is masochistic and delusional. He often eats poisonous plants and that is where he gets his nickname. He identifies poisons in his part of the shows.

Wolf is a teenage boy with Clinical Lycanthropy. He believes that he is a werewolf, and ever full moon locks himself within his trailer and doesn't leave or let anyone in. He is an assistant to Lion in his lion taming act.

Voice is a young boy that doesn't speak, when he does its singing. Besides that, he also suffers from delusions and hallucinations. His hallucinations often turn him violent and he will harm anyone in closed areas with him when hallucinating.

Child is a newcomer to the Cirque, hiding from abuse the girl has OSDD -1A and selective mutism. She has alters that cannot front, but talk to her. She has a secret that she isn't willing to share with the others, which none of them would guess.
