Chapter 5

Elton's POV

I walk up to the dark brown door of Mrs.Clifford's home for girls. This place looks...Gloomy. I start to get nervous I think about getting back in my car. "Fuck it" I say in a whisper to myself and open the door to the orphanage.

I go down a short dark hallway at the end of the hallway are a few kids playing with building blocks.

One of them gasps and yells "MRS.CLIFFORD WE HAVE BIG GUEST!"

Who I'm assuming is Mrs.Clifford says "hi are you Mr.Castee" she says with a smile

"Yes, and you're Mrs.Clifford. Right?" I say smiling back trying to hide my anxiousness

"Correct, my office is right this way."

I start to walk the way she's pointing but stop when I here her yell "GIRLS, I'm going to be in a meeting so be on your best behavior. Understand?"

"YES MRS.CLIFFORD" they all say in unison

"Right this way Mr.Castee" she says leading me to her office

————————-Diana's POV—————————

After lunch I sat on the couch and decided to watch whatever was on the tv. I was trying to keep track of it all but it got kinda confusing. It was some Disney channel show....it made no sense. Very very confusing plot. I wish I could've seen the first episode maybe then it would make more sense...maybe?

Just when I'm starting to understand I hear the
front door open...no one uses the front door except for guests. I soon see a scary man with a quite long beard and mustache walk in.

He looks down at Maci, Maddie, and lily.
Lily screams for Mrs.Clifford to tell her that there's a man. Mrs.Clifford soon takes him to her office and tells us to be on our best behavior.

"DID YOU HEAR THAT DIANA!" Lucy says plopping down on the couch beside me.

"Hear what exactly?" I say confused as to why she's happy that there's a pretty creepy looking man walking in here.

"Well she new his name so that means he had an appointment!" She huffs trying to catch her breath. "Which means he's here to adopt one of US!" She says with a big grin

"Oh" I say getting nervous

"I HAVE TO TELL CHELSEA! she's in her room SHE'LL BE SO EXCITED!"she says while getting up

I try to watch tv and forget about what Lucy said. Don't get me wrong I wanna be adopted but. I don't know I just don't like that man he seems...sorta.... creepy. Like he came to a house for girls. Not just an orphanage. I also don't like to get excited about getting adopted. I've never gotten picked and who comes to an orphanage for a teenager. No one,no one wants a teenager.

—————-about 20 or 30 minutes later————

"GIRLS, COME DOWN TO THE MAIN ROOM PLEASE." Mrs.Clifford says in a cheerful voice

"Alright girls we have someone who would like to adopt one of you!"

"I would suggest you all go get more...presentable sense you all we be doing you're interview. Now go along I will call you down one at a time."

We all rush up the stairs to our rooms.

"I'm so excited I HAVE A GOOD FEELING about this one!" Lucy says with enthusiasm

"ME TOO" Chelsea screams

"Diana" Lucy sighs. " don't get upset if it doesn't go well okay just keep you're head up. Okay sweetie?" Lucy says tilting her head and smiling
