Chapter 8
Diana's POV
"Diana come downstairs!" Mrs.Clifford calls
I run downstairs hoping Elton would be here to visit me!
"Yes Mrs.Clifford!" I say with a big smile while running in her office
"Go start packing Diana."
"Why?" I say my eyebrows furrowing together
"You're being adopted now let me finish these papers!"she says not looking away from the papers on her desk
"Y-yes Mrs.Clifford."
Who's adopting me? Will Elton know where I am? Will the family let me still visit Elton? I wish Elton wanted to adopt me but if he wanted to he would've by now. Oh well. I let out of a small sigh.
I pull out my suitcase and start packing and I think back to when Lucy was throwing her stuff out of her suitcase when Elton first visited me. She said that I was a selfish stingy bitch. I guess she thought he wanted to adopt me but like I said if he was going to he would've by now!
After I finish packing I lay down on my bed and I decide to unpack a book to read.
————————30 minutes later———————
I look up from my book when i hear a knock on the door
"Come in!" I say loudly so they could hear
"Hey Diana M-mr.Castee is h-here"Britney says quietly
"Oh okay!" I say and get up from my bed and walk with Britney downstairs
"Hey Elton!" I say running over and hugging him tightly.
He laughs and says "are you ready to go home?"
I look at him confused and then i understood
"Elton?"
"Yeah!" He laughs
"D-did you adopt me?" I say tears forming in my eyes
He smiles "Yes, I hope that's okay."
A tear runs down my cheek as I hug him again. He comfortingly pets my hair
"Lets go get your stuff okay?"He says in a calm voice
"Okay" I say with a smile
We run upstairs and get my suitcase. While he signs a few papers I go over to Britney.
"Hey" I say
"hey" she says quietly
"I'm gonna miss you" she says a bit louder
I hug her and tell her I'm gonna miss her too I kiss her forehead and tell her I need to tell Mr.Rick goodbye she nods.
I walk over to him
"I'm getting adopted!"
"I'm very happy for you!" He says with a chuckle
"I do have to admit I'm gonna miss having you around Diana."He says looking at the ground
"Can you do something for me?" I ask
"What is it?" He says with a smile
