"That accent. . . have you always had it?" Curiosity flickered in his deep blue eyes.

"An asshole. . . were you always one?" I fired back, not moving my finger from his face.

He was impossible, there I was being beyond upset with him and he was wondering about my accent? The very same Jamaican accent I had every time I spoke. . . OK maybe it was heavier whenever I was upset. It still shouldn't have caught his attention, I certainly had been upset with him many times before.

He brushed my finger away from his face before dropping his face closer to mine.

"Wouldn't you like to know."

I fought off my urge to slap his smirk from his face.

"Inhale. Exhale." I tried to tell myself. He wasn't going to get the best of me, not that time at least.

My nostrils burned as I slowly inhaled the scent of a way too close Jace. They burned not because the scent was foul but the exact opposite. It was a faint Old Spice scent mixed with his sweat.

Was it strange that I thought his sweat made the cologne he was wearing even more appealing?

Was it even normal to smell that good after sex?

"I-I. .you. . ." The shakiness of my voice surprised both him and myself. That damn scent was clogging my throat.

He pulled away in one fast movement, I wanted to move too but my feet wouldn't allow me. My eyes too were doing their own thing as they were glued to his bare chest that was finally moving at a normal pace.

I heard him grumbling and forced myself to look up at his face. He was slightly tugging his hair and silently rambling to himself. His eyes weren't fixed on me anymore instead he seemed to have drifted off to somewhere in his mind and his eyes ended up falling to the floor.

That was my chance to leave and as the thought crossed my mind I turned on my heel and started walking towards the stairs.

Feeling a little confused as to why my anger had subsided, I turned to glance at Jace. His head shot up, meeting my gaze. The little curiosity in his eyes from early had fled leaving them emotionless and empty as usual.

"Where are you going?" He asked, taking two long strides which left him standing next to me.

"I'm leaving. You should probably go and call Samantha."

"I'm sure she said her name was Scarlet."

I rolled my eyes at him before turning around and taking my first step down the stairs. My way of showing I was done discussing her, I literally left the chat. Scarlet Samantha Stephanie Cinderella, whatever the hell her name was it annoyed me.

I felt his heavy hand on my shoulder and slightly jerked my body in his direction.

"What?" I asked, crossing my arms and knitting my brows together.

"OK so you can call her Cinderella, there's really no reason to be upset." His tone was softer than usual which I found strange. Was he implying I was jealous?

"I am not upset about her." I hissed, emphasizing the her. For some reason I felt like I was lying but I pushed it aside. I really didn't care about the girl. In fact Alexandra already told me he slept around so it wasn't a big surprise. Cinderelly was really the least important thing at that moment. What I was upset about was the fact that he made Michael cancel our date.

"Then why are you upset?" He asked, momentarily I saw a bit of confusion on his face.

"I already told you. You canceled my date with Michael!"
