"WHAT?"
Thea yelled which made the whole cafeteria turned to her with puzzled looks on their faces.
"Um...sorry.." She coughed to ease the embarrassment.
Slowly but surely, they all minded their own business. By then, Thea stared at me with no expression on her face.
"S-Sorry for my sudden outburst...I was just being...overly dramatic." She apologized. I nodded simply. "It's fine, Thea."
She cleared her throat, "Anyway...can I see it?" I nodded and pulled the necklace from under my shirt. Since Thea is seated beside me, I have no worries in other people peeking at my necklace. Because..it's impossible for them to see if their view is blocked by paper bags and my friend's bodies.
"Is this...a moon stone?" She asked as she admires my necklace, slowly touching and stroking it.
"Yeah, I think." That's not a wholesome lie. I'm still doubting if it's actually a real moon stone or just a knockoff. But...the way it behaved in the library, and how it magically appeared in my pocket, makes me doubt that it's a knockoff. I'll just think about this later, for now, all I know is that it meant no harm to me and my surroundings.
"Are you joking? This necklace looks like it's sold in an authentic jewelry shop and made by a professional jeweler. Don't forget to mention how mesmerizing this necklace is! I could stare at it for hours and be hypnotized by it's beauty! Also, the color-gradiation is---MMFH!" Linzy blabbed, but before she finishes, Violet quickly covered her mouth to shut her up.
"Yes, yes! We understand that you admire Carlyn's necklace so much! But you don't have to go overboard and make a 10 minute documentary." Violet hissed at Linzy whom glared at her.
"OUCH! HEY!" Violet yanked her hand off of Linzy's mouth and wiped it on her skirt. "YOU BIT ME!" Violet yelled and started pinching her shoulder.
Linzy whimpered and rubbed her shoulder as she smacked Violet's arm in return. Violet widened her eyes and touched her arm, she was about to hit back but I decided to stop them, "STOP! Are you guys really going to make a scene and fight in the cafeteria?" They both looked at me and sighed,
"Sorry..." Violet apologized but still glared at Linzy, whom in the other hand, blew a raspberry and crossed her arms.
"Is this a daily routine for you? Seeing Violet and Linzy have small cat-fights?" Thea asked as she looked at them with a concerned look.
I sighed, "Yeah...they fight almost everyday--"
"NO WE DON'T!" They both protested.
"--once every month." I corrected myself. "But remember that one time they had a huge fight and nearly pushed each other down the stairs?" I asked. Yes, that indeed happen, they had a fight because Linzy ate Violet's cookies without asking permission. Linzy defended herself and said that she already asked Violet, but she was too busy cramming her textbooks for a test that was held the day after. Thus, a misunderstanding happened and they almost hurt themselves. We still reminisced that situation and usually bring it up in funny conversations. It always ended up making them flustered.
"They did?" Thea asked confusingly, I nodded, "Yeah...you were there remember?" Thea's mouth formed an 'O' shape and tapped her nails onto the table,
"Ohh...but I forgot that they almost killed themselves, maybe I was dazing off or something." Thea explained as she smiles sheepishly. "But hey at least they got over it."
Linzy huffed, "Anyway...Thea, why didn't you contact us? How are we supposed to know what you were up to? We were worried sick!" Thea's mouth formed into a straight line before explaining herself,
