"How's school today, Mrs. Carlyn?"

"Huh?" I blinked multiple times. I can see from my peripheral view that Mr. Brown is shaking his head. I wasn't really listening to what he was saying, I was busy mourning over some silly thing, which is missing the fun times with my friends...yet again.

"I guess your mind is occupied by something? Is it some type of school work?" He asked, his view still glued onto the road.

"No...it's...nothing." I lied. "What were you saying before?" I continued as my gaze is fixed on my hands.

He chuckled, "How was school today?" I gulped and started fiddling my thumbs. I reminisced all the crazy stuff that happened today, from Thea suddenly returning and the incident in the bathroom.

"I-It was..okay...you know..the usual. The teacher handed out my test results." I said trying not to stutter.

He looked at me through the rear view mirror, "Oh, well...how was the test results?" He asked.

"Um..."

"Wait, why did I even ask? It must be very good. You have a splendid brain and you're very much intelligent!" He blabbed while softly chuckling.

"T-Thank you?" I coughed a little to ease the awkwardness. Mr. Brown didn't really talk that much after because he's busy driving. Which leaves me staring at the back of his seat like I was hypnotized by it. My mind is in a complete turmoil right now. I want to think about the incident that happened earlier today. But I can't seem to wrap it around my head.

My thoughts are brought back to the moon stone necklace. Ever since this necklace appeared out of nowhere, things have been acting quite strange.

First, how it magically appeared inside a package that was supposed to be filled with only study books, and my parent's didn't even let out a single word about it. Which is oddly suspicious and made me assume that it wasn't meant to be in my hands right now.

Second, there's no logical answer to it suddenly floating in the library and flipping the pages so I could find the right information that's associated with it's
existence. Which made me believe that this necklace had something to do with witchcraft.

Third, how it ended up inside my cardigan-pocket. I am certain that I didn't put anything inside my pocket. Except for bits and bobs. Did I accidentally fetched the necklace while I was grabbing something else? But if I were to accidentally grab it, I would've realized it.

There's so many questions left unanswered and the only thing I'm able to do is find out about it myself. I mean, I couldn't just ask my friends...they'll think I've gone crazy and I'll owe them an explanation and when I do start explaining, they'lllook at me like I've gone crazy or something. Besides, they don't believe in witchcraft...except Linzy. But if I only tell Linzy...that would be unfair for both Violet and Thea.

This is bugging my mind, now I have more problems to deal with. That mysterious post-it note! Now that I've thought about it, why did I even pick it up? Is it really necessary for me to keep it? To be very honest...I should've left it or throw it away. Besides, it's only a piece of post-it note, I'm sure if it belongs to someone and they've lost it, they won't even bother to search for it anymore.

But there's something dubious about the writings on it. It somehow speaks to me...maybe because it's a warning? I'm not sure...but I'm holding onto it and I'll keep the message in mind, just incase something might happen to me.

I decided to take out the necklace from the insides of my uniform and grabbed the post-it note from my pocket. I stared at those two objects and sighed heavily. I can't believe these two simple objects are messing with my mind.
