Bailey's POV

It's been a week now since we found out that we're having twins. Today me and Sophia are going to tell mum and dad the news. I can't wait to see their reactions.

"You ready babe?!" I called to Sophia who was upstairs getting ready.

"Yeah!" She called back to me.

As she walked down the stairs, I couldn't help but smile. I've loved this girl since I was fourteen and now she's pregnant and we're having twins. And one day she's going to become mrs McConnell.

As she walked up to me, her baby bump was clearly visible underneath her maternity dress. Her face was glowing and she looked so cute and adorable. Her one hand was rubbing her bump slightly. I love her so much.

"You have to be the most perfect pregnant woman ever." I told her.

"Thanks baby daddy." Since Sophia became pregnant, we've been calling each other baby mummy and baby daddy.

"You ready to go tell my parents?" She nodded.

"Come on then." I said and helped her out and into the car.

The only sound in the car was the radio. Then Sophia broke the silence between us.

"Babe I'm scared." I turned the radio off.

"Scared? Why are you scared?"

"About going into labour."

"Aww babe, you've still got another three months until that happens."

"I know but, I can't stop thinking about it."

"How do you mean?"

"Well, you keep on hearing stories about mums dying during labour or the babies dying. I'm scared of that happening."

"Babe, that isn't going to happen. You've got the best care possible. And I'll be there to support you. And Claire."

"But what if something goes wrong."

"Nothing's going to go wrong. I promise you."

"But you can't promise. You don't know what's going to happen. Neither of us have experienced anything like this."

"I know. But Claire knows what she's doing. And she said that if we have any worries then we can talk to her. And if you don't want to talk to her about it then you can talk to me. It helps to talk Sophia."

"I know that, but-"

"But nothing. Look, we're here now. If you want you can talk to mum about it. She's been through this so you can expect the truth from her. Okay?"

"Okay." She said as we both got out of the car.

Mum was already running up the path and hugged us both, almost falling over. I guess it's because we haven't really been out of the house much since Sophia became pregnant. And I finished recording my new songs for my album a few days ago so I'm now able to look after Sophia properly.

"I've missed you two so much!" She practically shouted.

"We've missed you to mum." I told her.

"Tonia, let the kids in for gods sake. It's freezing out here." I heard my dad say from the front door.

"Nice to see you to dad." I said to him in a sarcastic tone.

"Good to see ya son." He replied and we did the whole guy handshake thing (really don't know what this is called 😂)

We all went inside and sat down in the living room. I suddenly became really nervous about what we were about to say and I could tell that Sophia was to because she was fiddling with her fingers which is something that she always does whenever she's nervous. I took her hands in mine and smiled at her reassuringly. She smiled back but she kept on looking down at our hands.

"So what brings you two here unannounced? You usually have to let us know a week in advance when you're coming over and at a precise time." Mum said.

"Well, we just thought that we'd surprise you! And speaking of surprises, we've got one for you." I replied.

"Oh!" Both my parents said at the same time.

I looked at Sophia and she nodded and started speaking. "Well, I went for my scan last week and they found something."

"It's nothing bad is is?" Mum asked, her face full of concern.

"No, it's nothing bad. It's really good." I said and Sophia continued to speak.

"It turns out that we're having twins!" Sophia exclaimed and started smiling.

Mum and dad both turned to me and I smiled at them.

"Oh my god! I'm so happy for you two!" Mum yelled and hugged us both.

"I'm so pleased for the two of you!" Dad yelled and hugged us both as well.

*a few hours later*

We left my mum and dads house and I couldn't stop smiling. My baby was having my babies and two of the most important people in my life knew about it. There was nothing that I couldn't smile about. Right there right then, I was probably the happiest person in the world.

And when I went to sleep that night, I was still the happiest person in the world. But little did I know, that that happy little world that I was in right then, was about to come crashing down.
