Sophia's POV
I woke up the next morning with a really bad pain in my stomach. At first I thought that I had gone into labour but it wasn't that kind of pain. Whatever it was it was serious. It was only six in the morning and Bailey was still asleep so I had to shout and push him a bit to get him to wake up.
"BAILEYYYY!!!" I yelled as I started shaking him. He slowly opened his eyes.
"Babe, it's six in the morning. Go back to sleep." He said and closed his eyes again.
"BAILEY I CAN'T GET BACK TO SLEEP! THERE'S A PAIN IN MY STOMACH!" Suddenly Bailey jolted awake.
"What! What's wrong!? Is it the babies?! Are you going into labour?!"
"I don't think I'm going into labour but I think that something might be wrong with the babies. We need to get to hospital."
"Okay." He said and quickly got up and helped me out of bed. I winced with pain.
"Are you okay?" He asked me with a look of concern.
"No. It really hurts. OWWW!" I yelped out in pain.
"Right, lets get you to hospital." Bailey said and took my hand and helped me get downstairs and into the car.

Bailey's POV
Once we reached the hospital, I quickly parked the car and helped Sophia get to reception. I took her over to the receptionist.
"Excuse me. My girlfriend has got really bad stomach pains. She needs to see a doctor."
"Okay. What is her name?"
"Sophia Jenkins." I told her.
"Right. And how far gone is she?"
"Six months."
"Okay sir. If you'd like to go into room one and a doctor will be right with you."
"Thank you."
I led Sophia over to room one and helped her up onto the bed so that she could lie down. No sooner had she lied down when the doctor came into the room.
"Hello I'm doctor smith. I've heard that you've been experiencing some pain in your stomach Sophia."
"Yeah. It's really painful."
"Okay. I'm just going to do an ultrasound to see what's happening with the babies."
"The babies are going to be okay aren't they doctor?" I asked.
"Well, I need to see what's happening with the babies with this ultrasound first so that I have a clearer idea of what's going on. But in the majority of cases, the babies fine."
I took Sophia's hand in mine and tried to calm her down. She was breathing heavily and I could tell that she was nervous about what was happening. I was too. But, at the end of the day, it was Sophia that was experiencing all of this pain.
I looked over at the doctor as he was doing the ultrasound. I looked back over at Sophia and gave her a reassuring smile. I looked back over at the doctor. There was a look of concern on his face as he kept on moving the scanner around Sophia's belly. Finally, he let out a loud sigh and put the scanner down. He turned to look at me and Sophia.
"I'm sorry, but the reason why you were experiencing this pain is because you've had a miscarriage. I'm really sorry."
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. At first I thought I'd heard him wrong. But by the look on Sophia's face I could tell that unfortunately I'd heard right.
"Why did she have a miscarriage?" I asked the doctor.
"Well, it could've been for lots of reasons. But most of the time it's just one of those things. I'll leave you two on your own for a minute. I'm so sorry for your loss."
"Okay. Thanks doctor." I said as he walked out of the room and closed the door shut behind him.
"My babies. They're dead." Sophia said in barely a whisper.
"I know." I said and took my hand in hers.
"They're dead. Gone. One minute they're there, the next they're gone. Just like that." She started to cry.
I leant over and hugged her, not wanting to let go. This was the girl that I've loved since I was fourteen and we were going to have babies together. And in the blink of an eye, they had been taken away from us. One minute we're celebrating the news that it's twins with my mum and dad. The next, we're sat in a hospital room, mourning the loss of our babies. I can normally keep everything together, but not this time. A single tear rolled down my cheek and my eyes started brimming with more tears. I blinked my tears away and sat down on the bed next to Sophia. I took both of her hands in mine and looked her in her eyes. She still had tears rolling down her cheeks and her eyes were red and puffy from crying.
"All you need to know is that I love you. You are my sun, my moon, my stars, my world, my everything. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. Whatever you need and whenever you need it, you've only got to ask and I'll get it for you. I'm so happy that we fell in love and that we have stayed together for this amount of time. As long as your staying, I'm staying. Obviously our relationship was going to give us times to test us and this is one of those times, but I know that we will get through this. We can get through anything. It's you and me and me and you. Together forever. Nothing can split us up, nothing. But the most important thing is that I love you. Those three little words that are so simple yet mean so much."
