Chapter 26

JINXX POV

By now, we were on the street. I kept trying to find his house but I honestly had no clue. How was I supposed to know?

"Wait! Alaina's last name is Martin, right?" CC asked.

"Yes! How do you not know her last name?" I screamed.

"Dude, calm the fuck down and look at that mailbox!" he said. I did as I was told and saw that the mailbox had the last name Martin on it. God, how stupid was her father?

"Okay, park across the street. CC, stay here and keep the door open so we can make an escape after we get her. Call 911, and just keep the bus on and ready to go for when we need to leave," Andy said, obviously thinking ahead for when we had to get away. CC took out his phone to call 911 as soon as we stepped off of the bus.

CC POV

They ran off of the bus towards the house as I got out my phone.

Before I pressed the call button, I saw a shadowy figure hiding in a bush of the Martin's yard. At first, I couldn't tell what it was, but after a second, I realized it was a person. I looked at it, confused. Who was in the yard...?

Then it hit me. It was her father.

By now, the boys were in the house. Of course, her father was going to go after the one person versus the four. Shit, shit, shit, what do I do? Was what went through my mind.

I hit the call button on the phone, and a lady answered, and before I could say anything, I heard a loud noise, and then less than a second later, there was an excruciating pain in my stomach. I looked down to see blood seeping through my shirt.

I had been shot.

The sight of the blood, mixed with the pain and how quickly I was losing blood, was just too much. I passed out before I could say anything but "Help," into the phone.

ALAINA POV

I woke up to see Jinxx running towards me. Then I heard a gunshot. I expected to see Jinxx fall over dead, but he didn't. If he wasn't the one that got shot, then who was..?

Ash was next to Jinxx, and Jake was behind them. Andy then came running down the basement stairs.

"What the fuck was that?" Andy asked. Jinxx kept running towards me, but the other guys stopped.

"CC," they all said in unison and ran back up the stairs. Jinxx pulled out his phone.

I guessed that he was calling the police by what he was saying, but I wasn't paying much attention. I was so surprised that my father had done this to me, first of all, and that Jinxx had actually come to help me, even putting himself and his band in danger.

There was another gun shot and I screamed as I realized that two of the boys in the band may be dead now.

I could hear my father yelling at the boys, but I wasn't paying attention to what he was saying. I could also hear the boys yelling back, and then another gunshot.

Somehow, I found enough strength to get up. I ran up the stairs before Jinxx could stop me.

"STOP IT! STOP IT NOW, DAD! WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM?" I yelled as I came into view of him pointing a gun at Andy. Ash and Jake had their hands raised in surrender, but Andy wasn't giving up without a fight. There were two bullet holes in the wall next to Andy's head.

He turned to me with an evil grin. "You, Alaina. You are my problem," he said quietly. He moved the gun towards me, and I closed my eyes, waiting for him to shoot me. When I heard the gunshot, but didn't feel anything, I opened my eyes, expecting to see a dead Black Veil Brides member, but instead, I found my dad lying on the ground dead, with a gunshot to the head.
