CHAPTER 1

"Mom, What's the name of my new school?"

"It's Medwood High School. Is everything alright honey?" She replied with a concerned tone. I smiled, she has always been concerned and protective of me ever since that horrible night, even with a question as innocent as the one I just asked.

"Everything's fine, I just want to look it up. I'm going to go to my room."

"Okay honey, make sure to be down for dinner." I nod, seeing as she was looking at me for an answer.

I walked up to my new bedroom, one that fits my liking perfectly. The size is not too big nor too small. It is surrounded by mint green walls, with a darker shade as an accent wall where my bed was located. I grabbed my laptop and search the name of my new school up on google.

When a bunch of articles popped up, I immediately clicked 'image' and watched as a series of pictures popped up on the screen, I scrolled through them, looking at the photos of the building.

Hmm, not bad.

"Dinner's ready " I heard mom shout from the floor below me. I scrambled up from my bed and descend the stairs quickly, not wanting to keep my mom waiting.

Mom and I ate in silence like we always do recently. Despite being overprotective of me, she never really talked that much anymore. It's ironic how she used to be the one who rambles a lot about trivial stuffs when dad was still alive.

After both mom and I finished our dinner, which was spaghetti and meatballs, I helped mom wash the dishes and then I ascend the stair to get ready for bed.

We had quite a late dinner so it was already 8:30 pm. My ideal sleeping time is at 11:00 pm so if i want to achieve it I will need to be on bed at least at 9:00 pm remembering how addicted i am to my phone.

It's bad, you guys.

I enter my closet, grabbed a tank top and shorts, then went to the bathroom to shower. Once I'm done doing my night routine, I turned on my night lamp, turned off the lights, then tuck myself under the blanket

For the rest of the night, I just surfed through the internet until I feel sleepy enough to turn it off and get a good night sleep.

"Bye mom," I waved as I stood in the middle of the school's parking lot. "Bye honey, have fun," she replied then strolled the car out of the school grounds.

I turned around, facing the huge public school. Despite it being public, I could recognize some expensive cars littering on the parking lot.

I took a deep breath, preparing myself to spend my first day in prison.

I walked through the hallway, thankful that no one was staring at me. Even though i was wearing my cutest outfit, I still didn't want to be the center of attention.

My white blouse that I picked to be my top was tucked neatly under a piece of floral skirt. Paired with some low rise brown heels, I was sure I looked okay.

I skimmed through my schedule which I got on orientation day, grimacing when I noticed that my first subject was history. I wandered through the hallways, easily finding the room where the subject was held.

I entered, quickly scanning the room for empty seats. My eyes landed on an empty one in the middle of the class. I walked there, sitting smoothly and getting my lesson utensils out of my bag.

A woman entered the room, silencing the class. After placing her belongings neatly on the teacher's table, she faced the class. "Alright, since today is the first day of school, I want you to get to know your deskmate."
