CHAPTER 8
He sighs, nodding hesitantly.
Neither of us said anything else. I stared blankly through space, listening in on the conversations around me. Nothing unusual, mostly just people going through on their days. I did, however, hear someone order pineapple pizza.
Like what? That is so wrong on so many levels.
I've probably gone too deep into my own thoughts that when the same waitress began to bring our orders, I almost jump into the air.
Thankfully, I managed to refrain myself from doing it, mentally scolding myself for zoning out.
I placed Damon's food right in front of him, making it easier for him to reach. Taking a bite from my cheeseburger, I almost moan at how delicious it tastes. It's probably very high in calories seeing how greasy it is, but who cares.
I certainly don't.
Well, maybe a little. Just a little.
I watched Damon while I practically inhale the burger, making it disappear in seconds. When my burger is gone and only a quarter of my fries are left, I took a large sip of my lemon tea, looking at Damon afterwards.
Creep
My face gained a bit of color when I realized that he still has half of his burger left, munching on it delicately.
"You've finished your burger already, haven't you?"
My jaw dropped, "What? No I haven't!" I spluttered.
How did he even know?
Damon rolled his eyes, a hint of smile on his lips. "Sure."
He obviously didn't believe me, but I'm still not willing to admit it.
He finished his food 10 minutes after me. We paid the bill, splitting it in half, then left to go back to Damon's house.
When we arrived, I cleaned up the papers from the bed, packed my bag, then said a quick goodbye to Damon. I exit his room soon after, descending the stairs with a goofy smile on my face.
It was when I reached the last step of the stairs that I remembered something.
My history book!
I turned around, going back up the stairs. Entering Damon's room, my eyes widen when I notice that he was shirtless.
What in the world
Breathe, Haley, breathe
Seeing a faint six pack on his stomach, I can confidently say that he played at least one type of sport before he lost his sight. I looked at his arms, only now realizing how strong his biceps are.
He was so beautiful. His skin was just the right amount of tan, and he had muscles everywhere.
Slapping myself mentally, I snapped out of my dreamy gaze.
When I finally direct my gaze from his abs to his face, I could see that his face is contorted in pain. A frown immediately grew on my face.
His shades are off, allowing me to see his eyes that are shut tightly. He suddenly groaned, cradling his head with both hands and falling onto the bed, landing on his stomach with a thump.
I walked towards him gingerly, touching his bare shoulder. I don't think he knows that I'm here as he flinched as soon as I made contact.
"Haley?"
"Yeah, it's me. What's wrong Damon?" I asked, concerned for his well-being.
He shook his head, "It's nothing, just a migraine."
