Time passed and one by one, the remaining Avengers bid their goodbye's.

Thor was the first to go. "New Aagard needs a king," was his excuse, and though Iris thought it was a valid one, she had a feeling there was more than one reason he left so quickly.

The next to go was Carol, but not before she stopped by Iris' medical bed to say farewell. "Every planet was affected by the snap, not all of them have what you do."

"What's that?"

"Heroes."

Iris laughed and shook her head. "I'm no hero, Carol."

The woman shrugged and smiled back. "Maybe not today, but you will be."

Iris held out her hand, the one without the needle injected into it. "It's been a pleasure, Danvers."

Carol shook her outstretched hand, nodding. "You too Iris, I'll see you again."

"I hope so."

"So do I." Giving the blonde one last look, Iris watched as Carol walked through the open med-bay door, have a quick word with Steve and Natasha, and step outside. She had to strain her neck to see her shoot off into the sky like a bullet, leaving a streak of golden light and energy in her wake.

Some didn't come to her to say their goodbyes. The raccoon she'd seen sitting with Nebula only talked to the blue cyborg and Nat before taking off in his newly repaired ship. On the other hand, a few came to speak to Tony, and him alone.

The scientist she vaguely recognized as Bruce Banner came to speak to Stark, he even asked Pepper to leave the room, who'd stayed by her fiance's side just about night and day. Iris would've left if she could, but Tony forbade her from doing anything of the sort, or he would, quote 'Have my sixth aneurysm of the hour.' Iris obeyed his wishes, not wanting to cause him any more pain.

Bruce, upon leaving, had given her a nod, acknowledging her presence, and left, and Iris had not seen him since. The same went for Tony's close friend Rhodey. He'd spoken to Tony, not in the hushed tone Bruce had used, but one where she could catch bits and pieces of the conversation. Not that she was eavesdropping or anything.

He too gifted her with a smile and a kind nod when he left.

Eventually, all those who were left were Pepper, Tony, her, Nat, Steve, and Nebula, two of which spoke to her on a daily basis. Tony was a given, he was in the same room as she was, Natasha also stopped by most days, conversing with the two of them about random things. Those random things ranged from what was going on in the outside world (they often didn't speak about that one, Nat tried to keep the atmosphere as light as possible while they recovered,) to plans about the future.
