WARNINGS: MENTIONS OF THOUGHTS OF SUICIDE AND DEPRESSION

After ten or so minutes of the kids 'oohing' and 'ah-ing' over Tony and Steve (Iris was pretty sure she saw at least half the kids holding his shield, pretending to beat up imaginary bad guys) Karen and she had the kids sent to bed.

With many 'goodnights' to the two guests, the ten kids were officially in their rooms (Iris doubted they were sleeping though) and the four of them plopped down on the couch.

"First things first: how did you find me?"

Tony reached into his pocket, pulling out his phone. "Tracked your texts."

"You can do that?"

"Apparently so. My turn: how long has it been since you've left the compound?"

Iris shrugged. "Three years-ish."

Karen's mouth dropped next to her. "The Avengers Compound? You've been there?"

"I lived there for two years."

Karen muttered something under her breath that sounded an awful lot like 'holy shit.'

Iris cleared her throat. "My turn again-"

Karen interrupted, holding up her hand. "No, I want to ask a question: what are you doing here, and what do you want?"

Steve and Tony looked at each other, then down at the couch. Iris' stomach started doing somersaults. "What?"

"Tony-" Steve cleared his throat. "Tony thinks he found a way to fix all this."

The billionaire in question held up his hand, and only now did Iris notice the device strapped to the back of his hand. "A fully functioning Time-Space GPS. Turns out, it is possible."

Karen starred at Tony's hand and Iris cleared her throat. "Tony, can I talk to you for a second?" Without waiting for an answer, she pushed herself off the couch and headed into the kitchen, leaning against the counter. Tony followed, a bit hesitant. "God, where do I even start?" She muttered after a moment.

Tony shrugged. "You could tell me if you'd even consider this."

Iris sighed, rubbing her forehead. "I need to know if this is going to work, I need a definite yes."

"Iris, I can't give you one. There are no definite yes' in science, especially in time travel."

She starred out of the window looking out onto the balcony. "I lost so many people Tony, I lost people who I thought were safe, people who I thought I couldn't lose anymore. I lost my family, my sister, my best friend, the man I love, and now you want me to drop another family I've found so I can try to get back the one I lost?
