To the surprise of no one, Steve gave the motivational pep-talk when they'd all donned their suites, and gathered around what Tony called the Quantum Time machine.

"You heard the man, stroke the keys, jolly green." Iris rolled her eyes as Bruce, in his Hulk form flicked switches and pushed buttons on the control board.

She held out a fist to Tony, who bumped it lightly with his own. "You ready for this?"

"Absolutely not." He paused, watching through his mask as Nat and Clint chatted (she'd learned his name via the red-head, she got tired of Iris calling him the 'mohawk dude.') "You sure you're good with coming to New York? No one's gonna care if you go somewhere else, hell, you could stay here and man the fort."

Iris gave him a raised eyebrow. "And what, pace the compound while you have all the fun? Fat chance." The mask on her suit flipped over her face and through its eyeholes, she saw Tony do the same."

With a mock salute to Tony, they shrank into the Quantum world.

The sensation was odd, to say the least.

Iris' stomach was left in the regular world as the rest of her body traveled to the Quantum Relm. Thank God she hadn't eaten anything recently, or she most definitely would've thrown up in her mask, and that would've been a less than pleasant experience.

Her head pounded, and dots flashed behind her blinking eyelids. She was getting dizzier by the second, and if they didn't land in 2012 soon, she was sure she would throw up, even if it was just dry heaving.

The world spun into blue blurs in the corners of her vision. She could barely make out the figures of Tony, Steve, Bruce, and Scott next to her. Up ahead, the other two teams flew through what looked like empty air. They disappeared one by one, and as soon as the figures of Thor and the raccoon vanished, Iris blinked, and the four of them were standing in an alleyway in New York, 2012.

The minute her surroundings registered in her brain, Iris released the mask and heaved in gulps of fresh air. Tony gave her a brief pat on the back, then addressed Bruce, in hulk form. "Feel free to smash anything along the way."

Iris, still gulping down fresh air as she'd just died, heard a few half-hearted crashes and creaks of metal, but nothing more. It seemed like Bruce wasn't all for smashing things along the way either.

Standing straight and popping her neck, Iris turned to hulked-out Bruce. "Right, lead the way, my guy."

"We'll meet you back here," Steve scolded pointedly. "Keep an eye on the clock."

Iris gave him another mock salute before following Bruce down the demolished city streets. "So, where was 2012 you?"

"Somewhere around here actually, and with a lot more anger management issues. Yourself?"
