Chapter twenty-three

HARMONY'S POV:

It's been a year (obviously) since I left New York without reaching any of my friends or family member except Megan. Have you guys forgotten about her, anyway she was the only one I told about my whereabouts and she didn't bother looking for me because she respected that I wanted to be alone and gather the pieces back together.

I have been working as an assistant in Fkirokpompo company. I don't mean to brag but, I helped in bringing the company to where it is.

I became more independent, I didn't have time for romance. It was just a waste of time and energy. I started dressing more like people from this century. If I should say so myself, I have become really hot. I now care about how I look and I appreciate myself.

Deep down the reason I didn't want a relationship was because, I haven't quite gotten over Adrain. I know he might be married to Sofia now and they're probably expecting a baby by now but, I still wish I would find out that he had waited for me but, who am I kidding, it's just a wish and not all wishes come true or so I thought.

I traveled back to New York. The Moment my feet touched the ground I remembered that night. The night I left, the night which made me who I am today.

I had already had my car shipped here and I had also rented a nice condominium. I drove to my apartment which was already furnished, all I had to do was settle in.

I decided to call Megan and tell her that the bitch (that's me, the baddest bitch in the city) was back
"Hey Meg" I smiled expecting to receive a dramatic expression from her
"Um excuse me, the owner of this line is busy making plans on how to murder a certain someone" I rolled my eyes. Gosh I really missed her
"I'm back in New York and I was hoping we could catch up" there was a pause on the other line. Suddenly I heard sniffing
"Text me your address. I've missed you so much B." I knew Megan was dramatic but, I didn't know she could now switch moods so easily.

I texted her my address and in the meantime I decided to stock my apartment with foods and drinks. I wore a high waisted leather skirt with a black Tuttle neck blouse, tucked in my skirt. I wore a black knee boot and paired the whole look with a dark shade.

I walked outside, heads turning to look at me. Broke bitches watch out now cause Harmony Harrison is in the building, yeah, I've lost a few screws as well. I entered my car and head to Walmart

ADRAIN'S POV:

The Moment I woke up this morning, I quickly showered and got dressed in dark blue jeans and white t-shirt and headed out to go and see Harmony.

I still can't believe I would be seeing my baby today. I drove my car and waited outside her condo, giving her some space to get settled in. After six hours, yeah I waited that long, she finally came out looking hot as fuck. My baby was on 🔥🔥🔥. I suddenly felt possessive as other men would be looking at her.

I followed her closely not wanting to freak her out to the mall and then back to her condo. She went inside well I guess I'll have to start Operation win over my wife back tommorow.

HARMONY'S POV:

After stocking my cabinet with food. I decided to go take a shower and relax. Few minutes later my door bell rang. Megan enveloped me in a tight hug as we both sobbed
"I missed you so much B, I thought you'll never come back" she finally let go as we sat on the couch
"I missed you more Meg. I just needed to find myself and thanks for not revealing my location to anyone" I knew my parents would look for me
"You're welcome. So, how have you been?" She walked up to my fridge and grabbed a glass and poured herself some chilled yoghurt.
"Well you know, same old, same old. You look different though what's up" she blushed and looked away. Now that's weird she never does that unless she was in love. I gasped
"Who is he?" She covered her face with her hands and mumbled
"Promise you won't freak out or anything" I crossed my heart
"It's Blake" with that she left me in the kitchen
"Wait who's Blake......oh my God. My ex- boss?, Blake Otalia?" I gasped. I didn't know they were attracted to each other. I was so busy with my own life
"The one and only. But, that's not all, I'm...I'm also pregnantandweare gettingmarried." Huh?
"Slow down, repeat the last part" she dropped her glass after drinking a little
"I'm pregnant and we are planning on getting married in two months" I squealed and jumped up and down genuinely happy for my friend.
"I'm so happy for you Meg, I'm going to be an aunt" I squished her in a bear hug with excitement all over my face. She and Blake were the perfect couple
"Although, there's a problem. It's not really a problem but, I don't know how you'll react. Blake didn't have anyone else to do it so...." she was rambling. She always did that when she's nervous.
"What is it?" My heart was pounding
"Adrain is Blake's best man" the moment I heard his name, my heart skipped a beat. The smile on my face quickly fell
"I'm sorry B, I didn't mean to make you sad. I told Blake to find someone else but he said he didn't have that many friends and that Adrian was his closest. I tried telling him you might not like it as my maid of honor and I refuse to allow anyone else take that spot. It's for my only sister which is you obviously" she rambled on and on
"It's okay Meg, your wedding day isn't about me so don't worry about it. Besides I'll have to face him sooner or later. It's cool now, I'm completely happy for him and Sofia trust me" I took her glass and drank from it
"Wait, hold on a sec. Sofia and Adrain are not together, they're just friends" say what now?
"What do you mean?" I asked
"Sofia also left the day you did. It was six months ago she finally forgave Adrian and both of them have been searching for you until now" So Adrian was looking for me? Why?, I thought I made everything clear in my letter. I didn't want misfortune to fall on anyone because of me
"Why are they searching for me? And why are they not married yet?. Not that it's my business, just out of curiosity" she smiled
"You still love him don't you?. Anyway, Sofia blamed herself for ruining your marriage and has dedicated her life to bring you too together" ignoring her question, wow I thought. She's really a nice woman but I don't think Adrian and I can ever be together again. Well you know what they say, never say never

We chatted a little while longer and had a mini sleepover. I slept that night  reminiscing all the moments I shared with him but quickly deleted the thought. I don't know what the future holds for us but will I really be able to forget him?
