A/N: Thank you my loves for voting and reading!!!! Another chapter for you guys!!! Aren't Bucky and Lupo just the cutest together?!

Bucky was looking over all the paperwork for Lupo. Making sure he didn't miss a thing. Especially when he got the papers of her medication. Antibiotics. Pain medication. Vitamins. Poor Lupo takes more medicine then Steve did before the serum. Bucky, of course, made that statement known to everyone else, and Steve couldn't help but shake his head at the statement. After taking off his jacket and glove showing his metal arm, he grabbed a piece of turkey lunch meat from the fridge. Bucky wrapped the pills and walked towards the half asleep dog. Wanda was running her fingers through the dogs fur. Lupo loving every second of it. A small purr could be heard from the large dog making Bucky laugh. He had never heard of a dog making that sound. Of course, it would be the dog that he picked to make that sound. Only him.

Hearing the laugh Wanda and Lupo looked towards him. Lupo's interest immediately on the wonderful smelling piece of meat in his hand. They never gave her the good stuff in the shelter! A small howl left her muzzle making Wanda and Bucky chuckle. "Here you go Doll. It will help you feel better.", Bucky whispered holding out the piece of meat filled with her medication. Lupo took it gently from his hand, eating it without any complaint what so ever. Not caring about the bitter pills that were inside. Licking Bucky's hand after she was done.

A small grunt was heard from Bucky making Wanda look at him. "What's wrong Bucky?", her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Wondering if something was wrong with Lupo.

Letting Lupo lay her head on his leg, he gently massaged her head before replying. "Well, at the shelter, the attendant said that she was a problem. She wouldn't take her medication. But she took it without a problem. Lupo hasn't done anything to make me think she would be a problem." Bucky couldn't understand why the dog would be a problem. Her injuries were extensive but nothing he couldn't handle. It would just take time.

Wanda couldn't help but smile. " I looked into her mind. I know I shouldn't have, but she is basically projecting her thoughts and feelings. She has a heart of gold. Not an ounce of evil in her. I think she's perfect for you Bucky. She needs someone just as much as you do.", with that said Bucky couldn't help but adore the dog even more.

Lupo decided to get up. Walk around a little bit, sniff out her surroundings. The metal arm didn't scare her. She understood what it meant. That Bucky was like her. It wasn't uncommon when she would meet older veterans from war. She slowly got up on her three paws. Her body straining, her legs shaking. Bucky was watching her every move, if she needed him, he would be ready. Him keeping an eye on her made her feel more secure about getting up and walking around around her new surroundings. Walking a few feet away from the cloud like bed, she looked back and realized how wrong she was to try and explore. Every muscle in her body was screaming for her to go lay back down. Sending a quick look of panic, a few whimpers left her muzzle. Hoping someone would help her, specifically Bucky. It showed that the hybrid trusted Bucky with everything in her. Even though they met hours ago. Their bond is already growing bigger and bigger with every second. That didn't happen often.

Bucky had gotten up the moment she sent him her panicked look. He gently held her up and helped her walk back to her bed. Try and get her body used to walking again, anything to possibly help her regain her ability to walk. Wanda gave them a sad look as Bucky assisted her back to her bed. Poor thing had a long way to go. Steve was standing next to Sam Wilson in the doorway of the kitchen, watching the interaction. Sam suddenly had a good idea. Well, what he thought was a good idea. Any idea to stop that heartbreaking moment from happening again. Everyone could feel their heart break a little bit watching Lupo give Bucky that look. "Would the cradle help heal her quicker? I don't know about you guys, but that is hard to watch. What happened to her?"

Bucky questioned the idea. It was a good idea. It can heal them. Why can't it heal her? Holding her up so he held most of her weight, Bucky let her slowly walk to her bed. Where he helped her lay down comfortably. He decided that he shouldn't carry her everywhere. Try to use the muscles to get her back to her best, slowly but surely. "There ya go Doll." Bucky whispered, gently petting her head. Letting her lick his hand in thanks while he sat next to the bed on the floor. When he knew that she was comfortable, he turned his attention towards everyone else in the room. Preferably to answer Sam's questions.

"We could talk to Bruce. See what he thinks. And to your other question, I have one word for it. War. She was a military dog. Her team was ambushed and unfortunately she was the only survivor. Lupo's a veteran.", Bucky felt bad for talking about her old family in front of her. Her ears were pinned, her head was laid on the bed.

Bucky laid down on his side on the bed, Lupo's body up against his chest. His now ungloved metal hand running through her fur on her head. Everyone's scent floating around the room. Her eyes were drooping from her medication making her sleepy. Add Bucky's hand running through her fur, she couldn't keep her eyes open. Slowly drifting off to the sound of everyone talking around her instead of the lonely sound of dogs barking. Bucky wasn't paying attention to the conversation going on around him. His focus was on the sleeping dog beside him. She was perfect for him. Instead of hurting, maiming, and killing....his hands were helping, comforting, and gentle. Lupo was everything to him in a short amount of time.

Steve looked on from a chair, only thinking one thing. Bucky needed Lupo just like Lupo needed him. The small smile on his best friends face said everything.

"They're good together. I haven't seen him smile for this long ever. I just wish we could help her more.", Steve looked over to see Sam sitting in the seat next to him. He was thinking the same thing. It was clear, everyone hated to see Lupo in pain. The panicked look she gave when she realized trying to walk around was a bad idea...it was heart wrenching to see. But, they had the smartest minds in the world at their aid to help. Surely, if anyone could find a way to help her heal quicker....it was Bruce Banner and Tony Stark. The fact that Tony was letting anyone in the tower have an animal, was amazing in itself.

Dinner rolled around. Pizza was laid out in the table for everyone. Friday had announced that dinner was ready for everyone. Soon everyone was strolling in to get something to eat. Steve had given Bucky a plate with three slices to start, so he didn't have to get up from his spot next to a sleeping Lupo. Tony and Bruce walked in and got their food, sitting around the table and joining into the small conversations that they were having. Clint was on a mission and would be back within the week. Thor was nowhere to be found due to him being in Asgard. Everyone was eating, having light conversation. A nice night. Feeling a shift in his side, Bucky looked down to see Lupo waking up. She went to stretch when a loud yelp sounded from her muzzle from straining her wounds. The sound almost making Bucky drop his pizza. Bruce had put his pizza down and walked over to see what was wrong. Tony finally had noticed the newcomer in the tower. His eyes curious as he observed. "You okay Doll?", Bucky whispered running his fingers through her fur. Gently shushing her. Wanda had taken the plate from his hands so he didn't drop the pizza by accident. Bruce took a quick look, letting Lupo smell him before touching her. Bucky could hear Steve talking to Tony. Most likely explaining what happened to her.

"Why don't you bring her to the lab after dinner? We can see what we can do for her." Bruce definitely did not like seeing someone in pain. Especially an animal. To him they were in the same category as children. Innocent. Bucky nodded his thanks and everyone soon got back to eating the amazing cheesy goodness. Everyone had their eyes on the pizza.

Everyone.

Lupo had forgotten about the pain she was in. Staring at Bucky as he took a bite. It smelled so good! She had to have some! Time for mission Pizza. Bucky looked down when he heard grumbling come from Lupo. Puppy dog eyes staring right at him. He shook his head and continued eating. A laugh coming from him when Lupo nudged his hand with her snout. "No Lupo. Not for you." A long whine was the only sound. Nudging him with her paw, she was not going to give up. A long howl left her muzzle that left everyone chuckling.

"Oh come on Barnes! How can you say no to that face? Just give the poor beast a slice. After what she's been through, she deserves a little pampering!" Tony made his thought known, which surprised everyone. Tony pampering an animal? Nobody ever thought that would happen.

Natasha grabbed a cooled slice and handed to Lupo. Who gently grabbed from her hand and gave a small bark of thanks. Tony had one last thing to say before going back into the lab. Something that everyone agreed on.

"She is going to fit in perfectly around here. Weird just like us."
