Chapter 9- I Won't Let You Surrender, I'll Be Your Strength.

My POV-

Nathan had been with Emma for a while, they had gone into the kitchen, I wonder what's wrong. About half an hour later, Emma walked out of the kitchen but as she walked past she gave me a dirty look, which I returned, the front door then closed. Nathan was still in the kitchen, I got up from the sofa and I went to go and see him. He was sat at the table with his head in his hands, I walked over to his side and I sat down beside him.

'Nath..what's wrong?' I asked him in a concerned tone. He then slowly lifted his head and he turned to look at me, he was as pale as a ghost, something wasn't right.

'She's....,' he began to say.

'She's what babe?' I asked.

'Pregnant,' he answered in almost whisper. I looked at Nathan in shock, I couldn't believe what he had just told me. I then noticed that he had tears falling from his eyes, right now, he doesn't need a girlfriend, he needs a best friend. I just pounced on him and I held him close to me, he wrapped his arms around me.

'I know it doesn't seem like it now, but things will be alright. I'm gonna be with you every step of the way,' I said to him before I kissed him on the lips.

'Thank you baby. She says that she's two weeks gone, and we hardly ever slept together, if we did, I thought we used protection,' Nathan said with a sigh.

'You might of just forgot...it happens,' I answered him.

'I just don't know what I'm gonna do, I'm not ready to be a Dad, I'm only young, I can barely look after myself,' Nathan said whilst he looked down at the table. I took hold of his hand and I squeezed it,

'It's gonna be difficult but that baby's going to be lucky to have you as a Dad. I'm lucky to have you as a boyfriend,' I said to try and comfort him.

'I don't actually know what I would do without you Ams,' Nathan said with a small smile.

'Did she show you the test or did she just tell you?' I questioned.

'Just told me...why?' Nathan wondered.

'Awh I was just wondering,' I smiled.

'That holiday sounds like an even better idea, I could really do with getting away from here,' Nathan said.

'Well, when I get to work tomorrow, shall I try and find somewhere and when I get home we can book tickets or something?' I suggested.

'Yeah, that seems like a great idea babe,' Nathan said before kissing me on the cheek.

The Next Day...

My alarm started to ring, I turned my head and saw that it was 6:30am...time to get up for work. Nathan was fast asleep beside me, we spoke about Emma all night, and he calmed down a little bit. I can understand if he is scared, I'll just help him through it the best I can. I tip-toed to my wardrobe, I picked out a Tamara All Over Lace Pencil Midi Skirt (http://www.boohoo.com/restofworld/skirts/evening-skirts/icat/eveningskirts/evening-skirts/tamara-all-over-lace-pencil-midi-skirt/invt/azz61947) and a white sleeveless blouse and some black mid heels. I then walked into the bathroom, and I got washed and changed, I straightened my hair and put some make up on, some eye liner, mascara and some lip gloss. I looked in the mirror one last time, and I walked back into the bedroom. Nathan was still fast asleep. I left a note saying,

'Gone to work, will ring you later, Love you, Ams Xxx' I then left the room and I made my way downstairs. Rachel was in the kitchen, she usually gets up at the same time as me. 

'Morning Rachel,' I said with a smile on my face.

'Morning Ams, cup of tea?' she offered.

'That would be lovely,' I answered. Rachel then put the kettle on.
