Chapter 6: Meeting Duchess Kate

Isabelle stood behind William when they stopped in front of a door. The valet opened the door and said to someone, mostly likely Kate, "Your Highness, Prince William is here to see you." William walked into the room, telling his daughter to wait for a few minutes while he talked to Kate. Inside the bedchamber suite, Kate laid in bed, sitting up, as she looked out the window. She turned when she heard the valet open the door and nodded when the valet told her that her husband was here. She slightly smiled and said, "I suppose that the rumors are true, aren't they? She has been found." William nodded and replied, "Yes, she has been found and she is here. She's overwhelmed and frustrated at the moment." Kate nodded and said to her husband, "Well, let her in."

Outside of the bedchamber suite, Isabelle paced outside as a million thoughts ran through her head. She was about to meet her biological mother. The woman who was supposed to raise her into womanhood but was tragically separated from her daughter. William stood in the doorway and said to his daughter, "She's ready for you, Isabelle." Isabella took a deep breath and followed William into the room. Kate turned to see her husband leading a young teenage girl into the room. Her breath was caught in her throat as she stared at the girl. She looked so much like her baby girl who she never got to raise. The same eyes that matched William's, the same nose that matched her own, the same facial features. It was true, her long lost daughter was finally here. Kate said, opening her arms for the girl, "Oh, my precious baby girl. You're finally home." Isabelle slowly walked over to the Duchess and wrapped her arms around her biological mother. Then, reality hit her as she embraced the Duchess. This was her mother, her true mother, from whom she was taken away from. She was supposed to be raised by her into the monarchy. She began to break down into sobs, causing Kate to rub her back soothingly.
