After talking with her great-grandmother, Isabelle got to see her adoptive parents the next day. Isabelle sat outside on the back patio while she waited for her adoptive parents to come. Her adoptive mother had gone to get some tea and her adoptive father went to talk to her. Brianna came onto the patio and said, setting the tray down, "Here you are, darling. Some fresh tea." Isabelle smiled slightly and replied, "Thank you, Mum." Lucas turned to look at his wife then at his adoptive daughter and said to her, "So, how are things at the palace? Are things going well for you?" He noticed that his adoptive daughter's body language looked off and that she didn't respond. He said, hoping to get her attention, "Isabelle?" Isabelle finally looked up now with tears streaming down her cheeks and said, "I don't know if I can do this."

Brianna looked at her adoptive daughter and wrapped her arms around the poor girl. Lucas then joined the hug, giving as much comfort as he can to show that he cared. Lucas gently lifted his adoptive daughter's chin up and said to her, as she looked at him in the eyes, "Hey, I don't know how they do things there but I do know one thing.........they're preparing you to be Queen one day. You will have to be Queen and you will have to wave at the crowds. There's one thing they cannot take from you and that is your personality and dignity. You just have to believe in yourself. Your mother and I never lost faith in you because we trusted you. You just have to trust yourself to be able to do it." Isabelle took her adoptive father's advice in and he said, "So, are you going to step up to the plate or let everyone down?" Isabelle replied, with a look of determination, "I'm going to step up to the plate."
