AFTER what I see on Carla's camera, I sulk the entire day. Nate fixed my locker though and he was rewarded with one of my world famous hugs. Thinking about him makes me smile a bit but the sting from what Kiara did is still there.

What kind of best friend does something like that? I mean, screw revenge. We all get heartbroken, but at least we can still get over it. Why is she letting getting revenge on a good for nothing douchebag like Richard rule her life?

Okay well, that's kind of hypocritical of me, considering I used to be the same way before but I'm realizing now that focusing too much on getting back at others will cost you time.

And time isn't something that should be wasted.

Sighing, I close my English textbook and take out my phone. I'm in the library, but I can't seem to read because of my thoughts, so I just want to play some phone games.

Speaking of Nate, I remember he's right beside me so I take a side glance at him. Nate's face is currently buried in a book and I smile.

He's such a bookworm. A cute one, though.

"Quit staring Lia." He quips, and I blush. Does he have eyes everywhere or something?

"Sshh, you're disturbing the library with your noise." I say and he looks around.

"There's literally nobody here because school is over, not even the librarian. So I'm not disturbing anybody."

I just chuckle and he shakes his head. I feel his hand on my shoulder.

"You okay? I know what you saw must have been hard on you, but I think you should let her explain first then you'll know what to do." He says.

He's right. he's always right.

"You're right, Nate. Thanks for the advice."

He slightly smiles. "Anytime. What are friends for?"

did he just say friends? I mean, I know we are friends but what? did he just friendzone me?

why do I even care? we are actually just friends anyway.

I put up my totally believable fake smile. "Yeah. That's what we are. Friends."

Perhaps he notices the change in my demeanour because his face is kind of scrunched up. I quickly excuse myself before I say anything stupid.

"Uh, I need to go wash my face, I'll be right back."

He looks at me skeptically and nods slowly, perhaps contemplating whether he should be worried about me or not. "Okay."

I'm already at the door when I hear him say, "Lia."

I turn around and he continues, "You'll come back soon, right?"

I don't know what that tone in his voice means, but I just nod slightly. He tells me I can go and I do.

When I'm out of the door, I breathe heavily. So much is going on in my life right now and having feelings for Nate isn't helping. Well at least I'm admitting that I actually have feelings for him this time.
