The constant beep of a machine was annoying but I can't find the energy to open my eyes to deal with it.
Maybe Boston will turn it off, it must be his alarm, I drift back into sleep.
The murmur of voices comes and goes, don't they know I'm trying to sleep here, oh well, I'll just tune... them... ou...
I ache, my body, my mind, I feel heavy, spaced out. Have I been sick?

Bostons voice is soft and low caressing my mind, and I blink slowly trying to see him, my body still feeling sluggish and uncomfortable, I can feel my hand is in his and I try to squeeze my fingers round his.
"Aggie. Baby, please wake up baby, please I miss you" his hand caresses my cheek.  I fight to open my eyes, wincing at the brightness in the room as his face swims in my vision, "Boston?" I croak, my throat feeling dry and sore. "Water" I beg and he pushes a button by the bed "baby, the doctors coming, they'll bring water" he soothes as his hand holds mine and the door opens, the nurse and a doctor coming in.
I refuse to release Bostons hand as they check me over and explain to me what happened, the nurse, leaving briefly and returning with a cup of ice chips and a jug of water, explaining that I need to take it easy till I wake a bit more. Boston carefully places a chip in my mouth and I feel the ice melt easing the dryness.
After they leave, I look at Boston for answers, worried as I notice the state of him.
"How long?" I croak and he smiles gently before giving me another ice chip.
"You've been here five days" he tells me kissing my forehead, tears in his eyes. "I was beginning to worry" he adds.
"You too?" I ask him, looking at his rumpled clothes, stubble and hair standing on end.
"I wasn't going to leave you" he told me softly.
I thought about everything that happened and felt a flare of panic, where was he, was he still out there.
"Jonathan?" I questioned. Boston looked worried "I need to know, please" I beg.
"Relax baby, we caught him.  He's In jail, Simon has given all the information to the police and they raided his home in London, seized his laptop and phone and found all the information they need to show he was stalking you, the recording from your phone confirms he threatened to kill you. He's going to go away for a long time baby and I promise" he pauses to kiss my hand "I promise he will never get near you again, I'll kill him first"
I felt the tears fall "its over?" I asked hopefully and he nodded, "yes baby, it's over"
"Thank you" I cry and he drops to his knees beside the bed, his body leaning over mine, his lips kissing mine "no baby, thank you for not leaving me, we have everything to look forward to now, I can't wait till I can take you home" he kisses me in between his words.
"But now the risk is over, you don't have to, I don't have to stay with you" I whisper brokenly, at the thought of not being with him.
"Baby, you're not leaving, not now, not ever, I love you Aggie, marry me and stay with me forever" he begged, his hands tightening on mine.
"Boston?"
"Please, I know it's fast, I know it's unusual but you're my heart..." I can see him struggling for words and my heart answers for me.
"Yes"
His gaze searches mine and I see hope bloom in his eyes "yes?" he queries smiling down at me.
"Yes" I confirm and smile back before his lips again claim mine.

A knock at the door brings us apart and we turn to see my parents coming in, my mom rushing forward, seeing I was awake and checking me over before bursting into tears her hand stroking my hair "Oh sweetie, I'm so glad you're awake".
"Boston, your parents are just parking the car, we will stay with Aggie while you go and get some rest" my dad tells him but Boston shakes his head "no, I'm not leaving her" he growls from my side.
"Brother, you stink" James tells him from the doorway and I laugh a little at the look on Bostons face, groaning as I feel the movement pull in the wound area.
"Don't laugh baby" Boston fusses over me, my bemused parents watching on.
"Aggie, its good to see you awake" Bostons Ma comes in with his Pop and I blush a little at all the attention directed at me when she comes and kisses my head.
"What are you all doing here?" Boston asked looking at them all while holding my hand,
"we've come to keep Aggie company while you rest, or shower, change or just leave the room for some air, you haven't left her side since she came in.  Aggie send him away to wash at least" James piped up, watching Boston's reaction.
I turned my head to look at him, "you haven't left me?" I whisper in awe. "I'll never leave you again" he whispers back.
"I'm not going anywhere, I promise, but they are right, go change, wash and do what you need to, then we can tell them our news" I keep my voice at a whisper, not wanting anyone to know yet.
Boston groaned aloud "are you telling me I smell"
My eyes widened in horror "NO" and Boston laughed, "I'm kidding baby, okay one hour, then I will be back" his gaze scanned the room "nobody leaves her alone" he orders our parents who just smile at him promising they will stay with me.
"Okay, come on James you can drive me" he said before kissing me hard and leaving the room, to the giggles of our mothers.
