  (Lydia's POV)

I woke up, looking straight over to my Dad, who was grinning at me. The pain in my stomach almost unnoticeable.
  "What?" I laughed.
"Nothing, it's just, a rather special day, don't you think?" he chuckled.
"Why, what is it?" I asked, oblivious.
"Lydia darling, it's the 27th of April,"
"Wait what, is it? I lost track of time!"
"Happy Birthday Darling," he smiled, pecking my head.
"Thank you Dad! I haven't celebrated my birthday in six years," I smiled, hugging him.
"Well, we'll have to make up for it today won't we love?" he grinned. I hugged him tightly before getting out of bed and picking up my Dad's bottle of rum and taking a swig.
  "Oi! My rum!" he snapped.
"However, there is plenty of rum to go around today," he smiled. I smirked. He jumped out of bed aswell and grabbed his jacket. I slid on my boots and we store out onto deck, to be met with smiles from all the crew members. My Dad put an arm around me.
The deck was practically sparkling, the sweet aroma of food met my nose, it was mouthwatering. The spray of the sea hit me gently as I turned back to the crew.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" the crew shouted. Elizabeth ran up to me and hugged me as my father smiled. Henry gave me a sweet side hug, and William shook my hand. Gibbs patted my back, and the rest of the crew continued to smile. Then it hit me. My Dad and Henry planned this all along, that's why they locked me in the cabin.
I turned back to my Dad and I playfully hit his arm.
  "You bastard," I laughed.
He pulled off a jokingly shocked and hurt face.
"I will not tolerate this language dear!" he joked.
"Hmm, well, I'm fourteen now, so prepare yourself," I warned, laughing.
"Oh no," Dad mumbled. I gave him a side hug. We all dispersed a little. My Dad began speaking to William and Gibbs, which left me with Henry. I couldn't help but wonder if it was on purpose. I knew that my Dad wanted to get me and Henry together, but I wasn't sure how far he was going to go with it.
  "Hey," Henry spoke, seemingly nervous.
"Hi," I replied excitedly.
"Happy Birthday Lydia, I, erm, got got something," he smiled, scratching the back of his head.
"Henry, you didn't have to get me anything!" I smiled, jumping into his arms, which took him by surprise, but he quickly melted into the hug.
After we broke away, Henry reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box coated in velvet. I gasped.
"Henry! You didn't have to!" I said.
"Shhh," he cooed, handing me the box. I carefully opened it to reveal the most beautiful necklace I had ever seen. A tear came to my eye as I took it in my hand. Henry put it around my neck. The feeling of his fingers on my flesh was so warm. I smiled and turned back to him. I was speechless.
I don't know what drove me to do so, but I slowly leaned into him, tilting my head and closing my eyes. Our lips met in a gentle kiss. His lips were soft.
After a moment, we broke apart. I was goofily smiling, and Henry looked utterly flabbergasted.
  "I, I...." he began, speechless.
"Thank you," I whispered, smiling, pecking his cheek as k walked away, glancing back at him still touching his cheek.
As I saw my Dad, he had the biggest smirk on his face I had ever seen. I shook my head as I came up to him.
  "What was that?" he asked.
  "I, errr....."
"You two are adorable!" he spoke as he engulfed me in a hug.
  "Thank you Dad," I smiled.
"Oh, I can't wait to have little Sparrow Grandchildren running around on deck," he laughed.
  "DAD!" I gasped, shocked.
"I'm only joking Darlin'" he chuckled, ruffling my hair.
  "Better be," I joked.
"Oh darling you are funny," he laughed.
"Are you ready for cake?" he smiled.
I nodded my head excitedly and he laughed, pulling out a blindfold.
  "What's that for?" I questioned.
"It'll be more fun!" he laughed. I nodded and he tied the blindfold around my eyes. I smiled as he kissed my head and rubbed my back, leading me down the steps. I put my arms Infront of me as I didn't want to bump into anything.
I suddenly felt Dad rip off the blind fold as everyone began to sing. My eyes layed upon the most delicious looking chocolate cake I had ever seen.
"Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday to You! Happy Nirthday Dear Lydia! Happy Birthday to Youuuuuu!" the crew sang, which almost made a tear roll down my face. I hadn't celebrated a birthday since my Mum died. What made it even better was that I was there with my Dad and the crew, which was like my new family. I  blew out the candles.
"Make a wish Darlin'," Dad smiled. I wished that me and my family could be happy forever and then turned back and hugged my Dad.
"Thank you, all of you, so much!" I almost squealed. Everyone smiled back at me and we all dug into the cake.
"This is so DELICIOUS!" I complemented, stuffing my face more and more. Dad had a small piece, but most of the crew had fairly large ones.

After a few hours of sitting around, talking to my Dad, he held my hand and led me to the cabin, shutting the door behind him.
"Did you have a good day sweetheart?" he smiled.
"Yes! It means the world to me! I love you so much Dad! Thank you!" I gasped, almost tearing up.
"Aww, sweetheart, you deserve it so much," he smiled, enveloping me in a warm hug, gently moving his hands up and down my back.
"I have a present for you," he whispered in my ear.
"Dad, you didn't have to, this is already so amazing!" I said.
"No, I had to sweetheart, I have to get my daughter a birthday present!" he laughed.
He let go of me and walked to his wardrobe, pulling out a sword case. My jaw dropped as he handed it to me, patting my shoulder.
"Open it," he winked. I slowly lifted the case open and it showed a beautiful sword. The handle had the name 'Sparrow' engraved into it with gold tassels falling from the sides. The blade was custom sized to my height. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I lunged into Dads' arms and he gladly accepted me, chuckling a little. I put the sword back in the box and turned back to my Dad, who had open arms. I almost cried at how amazing the day had been.
"I love you Lydia, knowing you as my daughter has made my life worth living. You mean everything to me," he smiled, kissing my temple. He began to tear up aswell.
We both sat on the bed. My Dad reached out and took my necklace in his palm.
  "Henry?" he asked.
I nodded my head, smiling to myself.
  "Lover boy," Dad laughed.
  "Dad!"
  "Come on....you two are adorable,"
"Well, I met him a week and a half ago,"
"You met me two weeks ago,"
  "You're my Dad!"
  "True," he agreed.
As it grew dark outside, we huddled together and enjoyed eachothers embrace in the dying hours of the day.
