I had reached Henry and he gave me a kind smile which I gladly returned.
"Hey that's a beautiful trinket!" he said, pointing at the beaded chain my father had just given me.
"Thank you! My Dad just gave it to me, it means a lot," I smiled, fondling it.
"I can't imagine, speaking of, how are you and your Dad, have you got to know eachother more?" he questioned curiosity brewing inside him.
"Aye, he was just telling me about the time he and my Mum met, it seems to me that I'm the only one that can make him spill his emotions and confide in me,"
"Yes, well that's family I guess, always there for eachother,"
"Aye, the feeling of being accepted is to much to put into words, and the feeling of finally knowing my Dad, meeting him, and having the opportunity to love him means the world to me!" I smiled, looking out into the peaceful ocean.
Henry simply smiled a genuine smile. It was at this point I noticed how wonderfully deep his eyes were. I grew distant looking into them, however refrained from entering a trace by suddenly looking back out to the tranquil scenery, a light tint of blush scattering across my face.
"I know how you feel, when I finally met my father after ten years, my whole life changed, I became obsessed with finding out how to help him, and then I found you father, who helped me free him, with the help of my friend Carina, who is now in some school across the world."
"You sailed with my Dad?"
"Yes, it was a very interesting voyage,"
"You'll have to tell me sometime, however right now, I have to work," I kindly smiled, walking off with thoughts filled with Henry.(Jack's POV)
I began to talk to young William, well, I guess he wasn't really young anymore, and as much as I hate to admit it, neither am I, however I am just as irresistibly attractive and witty. He smirked as he saw me stood before me.
"I know that look! Out with it!" I ordered.
"No it's nothing, your just so different now," he chuckled.
"How so?" I questioned, intrigued, I knew I had changed, I had Lydia to thank for that, but I wanted to know just how much from another's perspective.
"You're such a Dad! You spend about two hours with her each morning, you're always glancing at her to make sure she's ok, always asking about her, always there for her and you've made her so happy Jack, I'm proud of you!" Will exclaimed, with the biggest smile he's ever seen.
"I do not need your approval young William! However, thank you. You'd better not tell anyone I told you this or I'll gut your scabberous soul quicker than you can say savvy, savvy!" But, the truth is, I love the girl, with all my heart, she's changed me William, for better or worse!" I admitted.
"I'll stick with the first option. It's nice seeing this side of you, the good, caring man beneath all of the 'Captain Jack Sparrow' stuff,"
"I'm still Captain Jack Sparrow, savvy?!" I grinned.
"Aye Captain," Will smiled, patting my shoulder.
I looked over to Lydia to see her talking - borderline flirting, with young Henry. As I had originally had my concerns, I began to find their interactions rather adorable. I saw Lydia giggling and whenever she turned away Henry would endlessly stare at her. I had sailed with Henry before, he is a fine lad, just like Lydia is a fine lass, they would go together rather well, they have a lot in common, not knowing their fathers for many years of their life, their determination, skills, quick thinking. The more I look at Lydia, the more I see myself in her, she has my nose, face shape, deep, dark brown orbs, not to mention my luscious locks. She did, however, have Angelicas' lips. Oh I remember Angelicas' lips, brushing against my own, the many times we spent together. This thought only made me more sad at the loss of her.
At least now I had my beautiful daughter with me, by my side to sail the seas with.(Lydia's POV)
The whole crew got together and sat around my Dad's table. He sat next to me, with his strong arm around me, as my head rested against his side. I was opposite Henry, then clockwise around the table was Elizabeth, Will, Gibbs and Scrum. The rest of the crew was at work outside.
"So, I am sure that we all be aware of the legendary Isla Cruces?" my Dad spoke.
"Aye!" we all proudly replied in unison.
"Ahh, so, it is rumoured that there be a treasure that resides there, more treasure than any pirate has ever seen!" he grinned.
"How much treasure?" Gibbs asked.
"Well we shall have to find out won't we?" he smirked.
"Aye!" I smiled, excited for my first official adventure.
"Good, so I have set our course, we should be there in a couple of days, in the meantime we can prepare, savvy?"
"Aye!" We all replied again.
"So where's the catch?" Will spoke.
I looked at my Dad, confused.
"Sorry could you repeat the question please?" my Dad asked.
I snickered at my Dad's wit.
"Well, there's always a catch, nothings easy with you Jack!"
"Not this time William, all we need to do is correctly navigate ourselves to our destination, which lucky for us, I have my wonderful compass!" he explained, retrieving it and opening it. I knew about the compass, my Mum had told me about it. As he opened it, the red arrow quickly darted round to me. Dad looked confused for a moment, before replacing his arm around me before the compass spun a different destination. I looked up to see both Gibbs and Will giving a knowing grin, trying to hide it. It made me smile to myself, I've made my Dad soft.
"Aye, well I say we all snap to it!" Gibbs proposed, lifting his tankard.
"Aye!" we agreed.
"HOIST THE SAILS!" I yelled, earning an approving nod from my Dad, before everyone dispersed on the ship to their different duties.
Elizabeth stayed behind a little in order to catch up to me.
"Hey," I smiled.
"Hi," she replied, returning the favour.
"Your father is a perculiar man you know, but a good one, so if he ever seems to do something that you think is wrong, or don't agree with, just remember that it'll all work out in the end, he's a clever man and he knows what he's doing," she smiled.
"Aye, I know he's a good man, don't tell him I told you this, but, he really confides in me I think, and you'd have to ask him, but from what he's told me, he really cares, and for Jack Sparrow to love someone, well, well that's an odd occurance." I laughed.
"Yes, indeed it is, but trust me, I've never seen him more content or happier, and it's because of you!"
"Really? Not the Isla Cruces?" I questioned.
"Of course not Lydia! He's been so happy because of you, the sense of fulfillment, Jack will have found a reason to live again, he gets to go through the joys of being a parent, he has someone to protect and care for, fend for, like an animal,"
"I can take care of myself," I confirmed, but happy to know that my Dad really did care.
"Yes I know Lydia, but he will protect you with his life, trust me on that!"
"Aye, I'm sure we'll see in time," I laughed.
"But I really do love him, Elizabeth, I love him so much," I smiled, watching him talk to Master Gibbs and Scrum at the helm. He winked at me when we made eye contact.
"I know,"
She gave me a hug before walking below deck to Will. I loved the friendship that me and Elizabeth were building, I had never really had friends, only my Mum, the thought of her made me upset, she was young, and a very caring Mother, and I could see why my Dad loved her, they're very similar, I just wish that she could be with us, her and my Dad together, and me as they're daughter. I was just so lucky to have my Dad, and for that Dad to be such an amazing role model to me.Sorry that this is a little shorter ♥️
They're coming up to the Isla Cruces soon!
