The day before the wedding was the most hectic. People were running around everywhere, trying to prepare for the ceremony. I ran into Isabel during the wildness and asked how she was.
"I am fine, just very...how do you say it in English?" She asked nervously.
"Stressed?" I asked; she nodded as her eyes sparkled at this. Honestly, she was really sweet and lovely, yet I did not like her romantically; it was mostly a mutual friendship bond. I am sure she agreed as well.

"I have been trying to forget about the person, but my heart aches for them. Sorry if you are uncomfortable with this," she suddenly confessed, looking down.
"No, do not worry, I feel the same way....for my person," I also admitted. She breathed out in relief at the satisfaction of not being alone with her feelings.

"But as you say, we can not disappoint our countries," I smiled, trying to cheer her up, but it did not really work.
"Can you tell me about the person you love?" She asked innocently. I laughed and started to walk to my study, but she followed me.
"I do not know if I should," I laughed, trying to act normal.
"Oh, come now! I always talk about my love, it is your turn," she begged. I laughed at her childlike behavior.
"Fine, only a little bit" I laughed awkwardly. I can not say Francis is a man so I will keep that to myself.

We sat on the sofas, and I began.
"Well....she... she was the most beautiful person I had ever laid my eyes upon. She was kind and caring and very romantic. She loved me dearly and would not give up on me even though I tried to not fall in too deep." I started. Isabel's eyes lit up in excitement.
"I understand some might say this is inappropriate for us to discuss, but the thought excites me so much." She admitted.

"What did she look like? Where was she from?" She smiled.
"Ahhh well, she, she uh, she had beautiful soft blonde hair...and beautiful blue eyes that sparkle like stars in the sky, she was charming and always kept herself put together." I laughed; Isabel looked so in love with the idea of love.
"Tell me more, please," she begged

"No, that will be all for today; besides, you need to get ready for tomorrow; you have a lot of preparation to do," I told her, making her frown.
"Your love sounds amazing, man or not.... love is a beautiful gift that should be treasured; I feel the same for my Emma ..." she looked down, smiling.

My eyes widened, and I almost freaked out. How did she? And Emma? She.... she never told me the name of her lover, but this came as a surprise.
"Wha...." was all I could say from this.
"I know.....do not worry; I will not say anything. Just as if it were the other way around. I understand the consequences of my love, and you do as well. This is why I warmed up to you quickly, I knew you had the face of yearning for your love, and I realized seeing you with Francis. It was no secret anyways," She looked away.

"You.....your love is a girl? But you said they were a he?" I asked, confused.
"As if I would tell you he was a she....we are more open now, besides....we are expected to marry and have children....." she said, shivering at the thought.
"We must not tell a soul....for each other's sake," I said seriously; she nodded and smiled.
I guess we are more alike than we thought.

"Now....you have to go now," I gestured for the door. She smiled and nodded and started to prance to the door.

"Your majesty, the tailor is ready for you to try on your suit," the maid came in, telling me. I nodded
"Tell them to come in" I smiled.
The tailor had me stand on a stool as they slowly fixed up the suit's details. I could not help but daze off from boredom. I started to think of Francis, his beautiful silky hair and smile. His scent smells of flowers on a spring morning. His eyes captivated me so much. Although I was excited to see him tomorrow, I was quite nervous about what would come from that. I can not risk him flirting with me, getting too frisky, or even risk being alone with him.

Many diplomats and royals will be there; I could not risk us getting caught. Knowing Francis, he probably will not take no for an answer. He would completely ignore my wishes and still act on impulse. I started to get highly annoyed at this thought. That damn bastard frog better not ruin anything; everything must go according to plan. No slip-ups or being caught having an affair after being married. I would get a double death sentence for committing adultery and homosexuality on my wedding day/night.
"Your majesty? We are all finished," I heard the tailor trying to snap me out of my daze. I shook my head, coming to my senses, and nodded.
"Thank you very much," I smiled, climbing down from the stool and looking at myself in the mirror.

I had to admit; I did look really nice.
"What a fantastic job," I smiled at the tailor.
"It has been a pleasure, your majesty," the tailor bowed, and I nodded to him. Now I have to take it off so it will be ready for tomorrow.
I walked toward the window after changing to glance at the courtyard. It looked very beautiful and fit for a party. I started to imagine how it would be if Francis were the one I was getting married to. The thought made my heart flutter with happiness.
"What a dream I wish to live," I smiled at the courtyard, placing my chin on my palm.
