After Branden left, I run after him. I hate when he teleports away without me. When we were younger, hide and seek was his favorite game, because when anyone got close, he teleported away. Now I was playing hide and seek with an upset high schooler. I turn and start to walk home. Wait, there was somewhere else he would go to if he needed to calm down. I turn and run to Mt. Ebott, and when I arrive at the gate where the former barrier was, I get a chill down my spine. I can't let that stop me now. I walk in and call out Branden's name a few times. I walk into Asgore's former throne room and see Branden sitting in the corner. Only, he's not alone. I see Chara kneeling next to him, speaking to him. She looks up, says something, then Branden looks up.

"Frisk?" He says, sounding surprised. "What are you doing here?"

"I came here looking for you." I say, walking to him. "I wasn't expecting to see you talking to Chara!" I can't believe that he's doing this.

"What?" He asks. "What are you worried about?"

"Remember what she made me do!" I yell at him. "The whole reason that we're free is because I was saved from her!"

"I believe you are the one who started the killing spree." Chara says. "I just finished what you started."

"No fighting, you two." Branden says, standing up. "Frisk, she's the reason I'm as strong as I am, because she can train me in private here. Chara, the blame for the deaths of everyone is on both of you. Don't point fingers at who started what, that doesn't matter." He turns to me. "Why are you here? The Embassy must need you to do something so monsters have another day to live on the surface."

I look down. "That isn't as important as making sure your alright." I say. "Apparently not, if your selling your soul to Chara."

"Is that what you think we're doing?" Chara asks, chuckling.

"Frisk, you were busy. I didn't want to make your life harder, so I came here. Chara saw I was feeling down and wanted to make sure I was okay." Branden adds. "She's my friend, and I make sure that she's caught up on how the family's doing. They are hers after all." I can see Chara's face get a bit red, after hearing him talk.

"Chara, don't get to cosy with him." I yell, her face getting brighter, even for a ghost.

"What?" She says, nervously.

"Actually, I have an idea. It's stupid, but Chara, I may have a way to bring you back." Branden says. "If I have your approval, Frisk."

"You can bring her back to life?" I ask.

"Let's not get too hasty, I said I have an idea." Branden says. "More of a theory."

"Okay, I'm curious to see you try. Just don't be stupid." I say. He nods, then looks at Chara.

He steps over to her and says. "I won't hurt you, okay?" She nods, and he places his hands on her shoulders. I notice the yellow magic flowing out from his fingers, and can actually see Chara start to become a person. She's becoming solid, and when Branden stops, she's completely whole. Branden reaches back and grabs my hand, bringing me to him, then he places my hand on her arm. "It worked..."

"Branden, you did it!" Chara yells, jumping up and hugging him. "You really freaking did it!"

"I'm having a hard time believing it myself." I say, still in shock about her being alive.

"First, we should take you back to Mom." Branden says to Chara. "Frisk, lets go surprise her at school."

"Yeah, she'll be stoked." I say, sounding a little down. Branden looks at me, then whispers something into Chara's ear and she nods, lets go of him, then leaves the room.
