I wake up and look around. The last memory I have was kissing Branden, then he turned to leave. I get out of bed and decide to see if he's still home. As I get to the bottom of the stairs, I see Mom staring at the television.

"Mom? What are you watching?" I ask.

"Oh, my child, I had no idea you had woke up." She says, sounding startled, then she sighs. "Come here, I can't lie to you or Asriel." I walk over to her, but freeze when I see what she's watching. I see Branden standing across from the pink soul girl. He doesn't have his sweatshirt on, which means he's fighting seriously. "When I showed this to him, he had that look of determination, then he teleported like he and Sans do."

"Why is he there alone?" I ask. "Sans or Undyne should be there with him!"

"Frisk, Sans doesn't have that kind of power to teleport as far as Branden can, and he needed to get there as fast as he could, otherwise she would destroy the whole city." Mom explains, holding me so I don't run off. "We have to trust in him."

I watch the screen, and see his eyes have turned red. "How long has he been there?"

"He left a few hours ago." Mom answers. "They started but separated to speak, the camera just can't hear what their saying to each other." As she finishes her sentence, a pink spear launches at Branden, who dodges the attack, and throws a ball of energy. A blob forms a shield in front of her, but then Branden disappears. The camera finds him on top of a building with a massive ball of energy, at least 30 times as big as a regular attack. "That dumb fool!" He throws the attack and then he disappears. When the attack hits, a red shield surrounds it containing the attack. The shield shrinks and the blast disappears with the shield. "He'll be lucky if he can stand after that attack."

"He's going to be fine." I say. "He's always fine." The camera turns and finds Branden breathing heavily then turns and disappears. I look to my right as he appears in our living room and Mom and I go help him to the couch. He lays down and goes limp. "Branden, are you alright?"

"Yeah, kiddo, I'm good." He grins, then looks up at me. "Truthfully, I can't move without being in so much pain." I can see the anger on his face. "It wasn't even worth it. They were gone before I landed a hit."

"So, they're still out there." Mom asks, in horror and Branden barely nods. "I know you did your best, Branden. Let's just hope this incident doesn't harm our relationship with humans."

"I should make sure on that." I say. "You start feeling better." I say, pointing at Branden. "I mean it."

"You got it, kiddo." He answers. "You won't even know I was hurt when you get back." I shake my head. "Do me a favor and at the very least take Papyrus with you. I don't want you being there alone."

"What's the worst that could happen?" I say, starting for the door. Suddenly I'm flying back, floating above Branden. "Woah."

"I mean it, Frisk." He says. "If this incident caused more tension for humans and monsters, things could get violent."

"At the least, we'll convince them to hear you out." I say. "Sans and I." Branden grins then before mom enters the room he lowers me down to kiss me and then puts me back where I was originally standing. "Don't worry so much."

"Can't help it." Branden says. "Little pink devil out on the loose." I look down and my hands have fire in them but I quickly stop casting the magic. Then I put on my coat and walk outside.
