Gaster and I manage to keep up the shield around the six of us as we hear Branden and the small goat monster fighting.
"Asgore, we should help out Branden!" Toriel says.
"Toriel, please." Asgore says. "We won't be able to attack our own son." I look over and see that there's a taller goat creature attacking Branden and it takes my focus for a split second, long enough for one of the pink blobs to attack and shatter my shield. "Somer, be careful!"
A blue spear destroys the blob and I see the fish stand in front of me. "There's only so long we can hide inside this shield!"
The large goat man walks by the fish monster. "Yes, unfortunately, you are correct, Undyne." He now grips the red trident tightly, and I see the large green shield drop. Turning to see Gaster, I see three large hands around him that all have holes in them, just like his own, as each glow a different color. Turning again, I see the skeleton that appears to be wearing armor, getting ready to attack with two bones in hand, and then Toriel helps me to my feet. "We'll keep these blobs busy, give Branden time to do whatever it is he needs to do!"
"We can handle this, my child, but you go help Branden." Toriel says to me quietly. "Show him that he doesn't have to do everything alone."
I nod and rush towards the fight between Branden and the large goat monster. I'm stopped as a lightning bolt strikes in front of me, while massive stars come down and break to send multiple smaller starts at both Branden and myself. I protect myself with a shield as I see Branden disappearing and reappearing all around the attacks. The goat monster focuses on Branden, as he starts to prepares a large beam attack, which is when I blast his back with a hellstorm of flame bullets. This causes the monster to lose focus, before blasting its beam at me instead.
"Die!" The monster says before Branden appears in front of me and protects us with a red shield. "I'm surprised you care about her, brother."
"Asriel, stop this!" Branden shouts as I throw more flame bullets at the monster. "Somer, we aren't trying to kill him."
"So, what are we doing then?" I ask him.
"His SP is down to 32, if we can get it a bit lower then I can try Gaster's theory." Branden says. "You should get back to the others."
I grab his free hand and he turns to me. "You aren't doing this alone, now tell me how I can help!" He goes to retort but I smack his cheek. "No, unless you're about to tell me how to help you, don't you dare try anything else."
He just looks at me in shock for a moment, as I see the red shield lower, Asriel floating there as if he's waiting for us. "Fine, this might work better with your natural affinity for healing magic anyways."
"How much lower do we have to get his, what was it, SP?" I ask him.
"It's Soul Points." He says as he turns back to Asriel. "Think of it as health in a game. All we need is to get his just a bit lower." He glances back at me and I see his eyes glowing red. "Distract him with your flame bullets, okay?"
I nod and summon as many flames as I can, then launch them all at Asriel. Branden's disappeared and when I see him again, now behind Asriel, he matches my flames with bones and Asriel struggles to deflect all the attacks at once. Eventually, as I keep launching my attacks, Asriel turns his complete focus to me and prepares a type of blaster that he holds on his left shoulder. He gets ready to attack when Branden appears and manages to move me by changing my Soul to blue and floating me to a safe spot, then again, and again, before he lets me go and reaches his hand out to Asriel. Half a Soul comes out of the goat monster's chest and straight into Branden's hand, and when Branden catches the Soul, he immediately forms a red shield around us and holds the Soul out to me.
