I walk into the house, and I don't hear a sound. Branden must be training again...figures. I go to the kitchen and make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, then take it into the living room and watch T.V. Today has been a long day for all of us. Branden took on a person destroying a city, I managed to talk the embassy into listening to Branden's story, then he went off on Miss Grey, who is agreeing to help Monsters take down this creature. Then Branden brings a ghost back to life, body and all. Finally, Asriel and Mom are reunited with Chara, my other sibling.
"Branden must be thinking about her then." I say to myself. The television seems to be playing some footage of Branden's fight. For a fight, it was pretty quick, which makes me wonder why they were in such a hurry to get out of the city. Suddenly I'm seeing Branden on his knees, blood coming out of his mouth as he holds his chest. "Branden!"
"Was I that bad...at being the hero?" He says smiling, but it fades. "Or was I that bad...at being...your sibling?"
"No, I didn't, I wouldn't!" I start to scream.
A moment later, Branden is standing in front of me, a red shield around us. "You yelled my name?"
"You're alive!" I scream. "Oh thank god!"
"Hey, I had nothing to do with that." I hear Asriel say, behind Branden. "So, this is the thing you fought then?"
"Yep, that's it right there." I turn and see a girl with brown hair and what seems to be pink highlights, as well as pink eyes and a pink blob flying next to her. "She was about to kill Frisk!" The shield drops, and Branden and Asriel are in front of me. I notice Asriel is as tall as Branden, meaning he is in his Hypergod form. This is a serious fight then. I turn around and see Chara open the door, with Mom, Sans, Papyrus and Gaster. "And the calvary has arrived. What are you going to do?"
I can't see, but I could guess that she was flustered. "You may think that your stronger in numbers, but you've made things heavily in my favor!" I catch a glimpse of her through a gap between my brothers and see her hair is entirely pink. "Rhadophobia!" Suddenly there is a massive dome making things appear in contrast colors. When it fades, a couple Gaster blasters and a massive bone appear by her.
"Get behind me!" Asriel doesn't say a word, he just moves behind Branden, who casts his own Gaster blaster, grabbing the horn, and pulling down to fire. Then he moves his hand and places it on the back of the blaster. When his blaster's attack meets the creatures, they hit and neither side can push the other. Once Branden places his hand on the Gaster blaster, the blast is now a massive red blast, and it not only pushes the creatures back, but destroyed it completely, and almost hits the creature. Unfortunately, the blob formed into a shield, blocking the attack, and giving it enough time to escape again. "Damn it!"
"She got away, but we managed to defeat it!" Asriel says, returning to normal. "The only scary thing, was that Rhadophobia."
"Yeah, they mentioned that the last time I fought them. I just didn't know what it meant." Branden says. "Guess we know now."
"So, how do we stop someone that can steal our attacks and use them against us?" Chara asks, behind us.
"Make sure they can't take them from us." Branden answers. "That's all we really can do."
"How?" Mom asks.
"You all won't have to worry about that." Branden says, causing me to turn and look at him. "Only determination can defeat them, so, there are only four people in this room can possibly defeat them."
"Am I the only one who finds it funny that the only four that can defeat that creature are siblings?" Chara asks. I look at her, then hear Branden start bursting out with laughter. "Guess not."
"That is pretty ironic." Asriel says.
"How did that happen?" I ask.
Branden finally gains his composure and looks at everyone. "There's only one person that is capable of handling them though. I'm not going to risk my siblings lives against this creature."
"Branden, you can't do this alone." Mom pleads.
"Tori, you know I would normally agree with you." Sans starts. "But he is much stronger than he shows. But if it makes you feel any better, Asriel and I will go with him, make sure he doesn't over do it and kill himself."
Mom looks at Branden, then Asriel, then Sans. "Fine, but be careful." She walks up and hugs Branden.
"Branden, promise you'll be okay." I whisper in his ear.
"Frisk, I can't make that promise. I do promise to come back to you in one piece." He answers. "If I am going to do this, I'll need to rest up. Gaster needs to be brought through, and then I need to train." He shakes his head. "I have a lot of work ahead of me."
"My child, just make sure your ready for this." Mom says.
"R-ready for what?" I hear a nervous lizard say.
"Alphys, Branden is going to challenge that pink monster one final time. Hopefully, the last time too." I hear Sans say behind me. I turn to look at the exchange and see Undyne with her.
"Your sending the punk out alone?!" She yells.
"No, I have Sans and Asriel watching my back." Branden says, walking past me. "I don't need anyone else coming with either." He walks up to Gaster. "Let's get this over with." Suddenly, he has a hold of Gaster's shoulders and pulls him through into the land of the living. "Not as exhausting this time, interesting."
Gaster looks at his hands, then looks up at Branden. "Nonetheless, you still should rest up. We'll hold down the fort until your ready to go."
"Thank you." He says, then turns and disappears. I notice Sans grabbing Asriel and disappearing too.
"So much for rest." I say out loud. The rest of the room looks at me, then realizes the same thing.
"Those damn fools." Mom says.
"Don't worry, your highness. If anyone can handle that evil, it's Branden." Papyrus says. "Even though he hides it well, he's so much more powerful then he lets on."
"I-it's true." Alphys chimes in. "He has the power to wipe cities off the face of the earth, and that's just the power he's shown me. When we lived underground he had the power to destroy the entire mountain, by accident."
"So much raw power in a twelve year old. Fascinating." Gaster says. "What else did you notice about him?"
"He has an inner hatred for, well, evil. Why, is there anything you noticed from your brief time seeing him?" Alphys asks.
Gaster nods. "He puts more effort into a fight when someone close to him is in danger, not like Frisk, but Asriel, or even one of my sons. He didn't hesitate to stand up to protect Asriel when I attacked him."
"Well, he did grow up with the monsters for a few years before Frisk came into the picture." Mom says. "Then in a few days, Frisk and Branden managed to save the whole underground, bring back my son and break the barrier."
Gaster glances at me. "Interesting." I look away, uncomfortable by his glance. "Frisk, can we have a bit of a chat?"
"Sure." I answer, and we walk out back.
No one nearby and Gaster turns me to look at his skeleton face. "How long was it really?"
"I'm not sure." I answer. "Chara was in control most of the time, playing with everyone's lives."
"If I remember right, that wasn't entirely my fault." Chara says, causing me and Gaster to look behind him to see Chara standing outside with us. "I figured I would be brought up, so I thought we might as well get out here."
"So, what happened." Gaster asks, looking from Chara to me then back.
"It happened like this."
