"Why can't you just accept it? You can't keep doing this forever, it's now or never!" "I don't know!" She said, "I never thought I'd have to choose like this..."

:one year earlier:

Hi, my name is RaeKyung. I am 22 years old and counting. There isn't a whole lot about me to talk about, I'm like any average girl, I have two best friends that I do everything with. I've got your average black hair, brown eyes, nothing much to it actually. My life isn't as simple as it seems though. I've decided to move to Seoul with my best friend and move in with, my other best friend, to get away from my old life. What could go wrong?

"Passengers please fasten your seatbelts we are about to land."
"RaeKyung wake up! We are about to land, c'mon." Her best friend Yoona said shaking her shoulder lightly to wake her up.

She rolled her head off the window on to the other side of her chair groaning when she said out of habit, "Five more minutes."

"Don't you want to see my brother though?" Yoona said giving her a smart smirk teasing her.

"I swear if you bring him up again, at all, before we see him, I will smack you."

She said now wide awake from the adrenaline from just hearing her his name. She slowly got up out of her sleeping position stretching and groaning, being stiff from the long flight. She folded her blanket into a small square and shoved it into her backpack along with the other things crammed into the giant black and white polka dot bag. She sat back up pulling her backpack into her lap and clasped the top of the backpack closed. She grabbed the yellow scrunchie pulling it around her fingers, throwing her hair into a messy ponytail. She wiped her oily face with a blotting sheet she pulled out of the side pocket of the backpack and then crumbled it up and stuffed it in her back Jean pocket. Wanting the long flight to be over already The two girls finished packing up their things as they waited for the plane to land.

As they landed they could feel the plane jumping them out of their seats as if they went over a speed bump in the road. The light signaling passengers to put on their seat belts went off, and the flight attendant walked to the front, signaling for people to get off the plane carefully one by one. The two girls quickly sat up from there seats and scurried along inside the plane in hope and yet dismay, moving to the side so other passengers could do the same. As they stepped out of the plane you could tell just by looking at their faces they were happy to be back on the ground again. They felt almost as if kissing the ground in happiness was an option.

The girls walked into a long hallway that lead to the large airport that seemed the size of a mansion. They walked down alongside other men, women, and children waiting to leave for their own plans and tend to their daily activities. They looked out the windows that seemed to replace the wall, looking out they got a front-row seat to the wondering sight of a pink and purple sunset overlooking the yellow, red, and brown trees that seemed to dot the grass like a Bob Ross painting. "Beautiful.." RaeKyung whispered to herself as she looked out the window walking and admiring the lovely sit before her. She couldn't seem to take her eye off the scenery as if her eyes were glued to it.

They walked along with the checkered tiled floors of the hallway into a magnificent building. It was stories high, with magnificently tall ceilings. The walls were a soft shade of pastel baby blue with tan tiled floors covered in rows and rows of black leather chairs that connected at the base. Looking up they found the ceiling to be solid white with big brown ceiling-fans that screamed expensive. They walked onto the crowded escalators to the level below them. From a many story building with huge intimating windows, just like from a fairytale.

As they rode down the escalator they already had started looking for a place to eat some real food rather than sprite and peanuts. After carefully checking to make sure her laces didn't get stuck in the escalator while stepping off, Yoona spotted the next best thing. Coffee. She squeezed RaeKyung's tan arm as if she had just seen a ghost, and started excitedly pointing at the long-awaited coffee shop soon to be just a few feet away from them. The two girls ran as fast as lighting on the hard pale tiles to be recharged by the wonderful taste of sugar and caffeine. They arrived in line with their hearts beating out of the chests as they gasped for air.

"Phew, we really need to get in shape.." Yoona exclaimed out of breath as she held her chest with her hand. They waited in line for what felt like an eternity until it was finally their turn to order.

They ordered their drinks and sat at a table nearby the large mesmerizing windows watching the pink and purple sunset. They were both so immersed in watching the sky, that they didn't even notice the small figure behind them.

"BOO!"

"Holy-, JIMIN!!" Yoona said standing straight up out of her seat and throwing her arms around her brother ecstatic. "I didn't think you would have been here already!" She said still so surprised to see the brother she hasn't seen in months.

"Yeah I got here early." He said giving a slight chuckle while hugging her back.
She let go as she heard the barista yell her name to collect the drinks that had been ordered. She excused herself and ran to get the drinks.

"So," Jimin says as he lightly hits her arm, "how have you been? I haven't seen you since Yoona's graduation party."

"Yeah.. I-I guess I'm okay." She said with a slight frown. She was trying to hold her feelings in so he didn't notice. Seeing him like this was different for her. It was easy to hide your feelings for someone when they are thousands of miles away.

"I'm back!" Said Yoona in a high pitched voice telling almost everyone she was in an amazing mood. She walked forward to the table by the window with a green tray being held by both hands. She set the tray down on the table and removed the drinks placing them on the table. She then ran and placed the tray by the trash can and quickly came back. Yoona and RaeKyung sat down in their chairs as Jimin pulled a chair from another table turning it around so he could sit on it backward. Yoona looked at jimin and back at RaeKyung as if she was disappointed seeing how he hasn't changed a bit.

"So," Jimin said stealing a sip from his sister's drink and stirring it with the straw, "are you guys ready for the city life of Seoul?"

"Er, well," RaeKyung said fidgeting in her seat and twiddling he thumbs under the table, "well, I can't lie and say I'm not nervous but I can say I'm excited!"

I'm She grasped her drink and softly slurped it, enjoying her coffee. she gave them both looks that revealed just how much she loved that drink. The three friends sat and had their long-awaited talk, they had a lot of catching up to do. Once they were done, they threw their cups away, pushed their chairs in, and walked out the big doors into the black darkness outside. Walking through those doors made not one, but all three of them have an empty feeling inside. A feeling that at the time, they didn't know meant something so important.
