She neatly and carefully folded the precious wallet and pushed it down into her jacket pocket. Still furrowing her eyebrows she walked back to the car still thinking about the man she only saw in her dreams. Yoona had already gone back to the car and had fallen back asleep waiting for her precious egg rolls.
Jimin looking curiously at RaeKyung's face tilted his head and furrowed eyebrows and asks, "Hey, are you okay?" Putting his arm on her shoulder he continued to say, "Is something bothering you at all?"
Un-furrowing her eyebrows she realized she gave away her fatal expressions to the one she wanted to know least of the subject. "No, I'm okay. I had just fallen on my way out of the store. I'm okay now though!" She reassured trying to change the subject as quickly as possible.
"I'm glad you're okay. Please be more careful next time though." He said giving an almost too compassionate look. "We all know your blind so it can be a big hazard for you." He said, going from compassionate to joking around, to about to be dead.
"YAH I almost thought you cared about me." She joked while fake crying. "But you tease me like that again and I will be the one having to drive you home tonight Park Jimin!" She said punching his upper arm.
She skipped away towards the car as Jimin wimped in pain. "How can she be so strong! Holy crap!" He whispered to himself. He walked to the driver's side of the car shaking his arm in pain and collecting his once broken pride.
They got settled in the car and started on their way to the girl's apartment. "Yah Yoona!" RaeKyung said shaking the sleeping girl's shoulder. "Wake up or I'm going to eat all the egg rolls and you won't get any." The girl shot up in her seat saying "YAH DONT EAT MY EGGS ROLLS!" RaeKyung and jimin chuckled looking at the once cute sleeping small girl had now turned into a tiny mad little bear. "Okay okay," she said chuckling. "Here's your egg rolls grumpy."
They walked up the stairs, carrying all their luggage with them. They could hardly walk up the stairs as they were exhausted. They finally opened their door and were welcomed by their wonderful apartment, glistening and shining hardwood floors, brand new, big kitchen, three bedrooms, and a smell that gave away it had just been freshly built. Yoona dropped her luggage at the front door and tiredly rubbing her eyes, she walked to the large window that gave off a beautiful view of the city. "Wow.." They all said in amazement.
"This is nice!" Raekyung exclaimed excitedly plopping down into their new black couch.
"But I think we are all a little too tired to be checking everything out tonight. Jimin, it's super late, why don't you just stay in the extra bedroom tonight?" Yoona said pointing to the room down the hall.
"Yeah, why not." Jimin said shrugging his shoulders. Jimin went into the bedroom and collapsed onto the bed falling asleep almost instantly with only the pillow and blanket that were sat neatly on the end of the mattress. The two girls who were left standing in the living room went to go choose their rooms. Afterward, they took their luggage straight to their rooms and went right to sleep.
The next morning she woke up to the loud ring she found to be rather annoying having been woken up by it many times. She turned off her alarm and slugged out of bed slipping on her white bunny ear slippers, rubbing her eyes with the sleeves of her blue hoodie and scooting around on the floor lazily. She walked over to her fridge out of habit sighing only finding she still needed to go shopping for food. She slugged over the marble countertop finding a pink post-it-note stuck to it saying that Yoona and Jimin had gone to meet with their parents, finishing towards the end of the note it said, "Have fun in your new house! We will be back by tomorrow morning so don't worry too much."
"Humph." She scoffed. "HaVe fUn!" She said mocking them.
"Well, I guess I do have the whole day and house to myself." She said examining the apartment now bright and lively.
She went to her room to first start there. She unpacked all of her clothes onto her bed, neatly folding some a putting them in drawers while hanging up the others and organizing her shirts and dresses. She then fixed her bed by putting all her sheets pillows and blankets neatly organized on it all with accent colors of gold and dark grey. She then hung her picture on the wall and added all her decorations and lights sticking them to the corners of her ceiling. "Perfect!" She said happily.
She finished unpacking and organizing ready for a break before starting in the next room. She tiredly walked to the big window overlooking the city. All in an instant she was reminded of her dreadful past as if they were dreams from which she wishes to forget.
"Raekyung, why don't you come out to play?" She hears ringing in her head. "No.. No, NO, STOP!" She yells at herself dropping to her knees on the tan carpet. "PLEASE JUST GO AWAY!!" She begged, holding her head clenching her fingers.
"Honey, RaeKyung why don't you come out to play?" The man said through the door. She tried her best to stay as quiet as possible laying tied up in a pitch-black room with the only light coming from a hole in the door. She controlled her breathing as her heart pounded so loud all of South Korea could hear it. "Please just leave me alone and let me go I don't want this." She cried. Hearing a loud scrape against the door he said, "But then, who would play with me?"
Raekyung sat on the floor against the bed, holding her head as all the painful memories flushed back in like a dam breaking. "Please..." She said as she could barely talk, tears rolling down her cheeks as she could barely breathe.
"Hey, Raekyung I forgot my phone have you seen it at all?" Jimin said walking through the door.
No reply.
"Maybe she left." He thought, scratching his head. He walked into his room to look for his phone finding he had left it laying on the dresser. "That's where it went!" He said relieved. He walked out of the room and towards the front door. As he softly stamped his hand into the doorknob and started turning he heard what sounded like a faint cry for help.
"Raekyung??" He said curiously walking towards her room. He peeked into her room only to see her lying on the floor crying barely being able to breathe as she held her head with her eyes closed.
"Oh my god, Raekyung!!" He said seeing his best friend on the floor shaking from fear. He quickly dropped his keys and shot by her side like a bullet, sitting on the floor pulling her up onto his lap and wrapping his arms tightly around her. All she could do was cry, she couldn't make a single sound. He hugged her even tighter letting her cry on his shoulder, like a kid hugging his teddy bear at night being scared of the imaginary monsters hiding in the closet. He looked down at her with tears welling up in his eyes. He rubbed her head as he said,
"Its gonna be okay don't worry, I promise I will always be here to protect you."
