"Thanks, Jimin." She said awkwardly looking at the ground.

"For..?" He questioned her.

"Everything." She stated, "For being there for me, through everything. For being my friend." She looked up making eye contact with the boy standing a litter taller in front of her.

"You don't have to thank me for something like that RaeKyung." He said softly.

Slightly sighing she stepped forward slightly looking up at him. She grabbed each of his hands holding her arms out. "I feel like I need to though. I've been through so much that you can't even imagine." She softly chuckled looking down at the ground still holding his hands. "If you knew what I've been through you probably wouldn't want to have to deal with someone like me."

What she said struck him like a bullet to the heart. He realized just how much she had been hurt. He wanted to be there for her when she was ready to tell him. He realized then and there he would never leave the broken girl that stood before him, no matter what.

She sighed plopping down on her bed laying on the white comforter. "I know I keep saying this but, I don't deserve him." She chuckled rolling her eyes at her statement. She did say it too much. Yet for some reason, she kept asking herself why he was still here.

She picked up her phone looking at the time. 3:30. She sighed setting her phone back down on the nightstand. She stood up stuffing her hands into her jacket pocket and walking into her living room. She stopped and looked down at her left jacket pocket pulling out the leather wallet she had stuffed into the jacket the day before. "Oh yeah.." She thought disappointed. She sat down on the edge of the couch and opened up the wallet still in her hands. "Jung Hoseok.." She scanned the cards inside looking for anything useful she could use to get the wallet back to him. Not finding anything she closed the wallet and turn it around to its back. It had been engraved with his address. She sighed standing up and pushing it back into her jacket pocket. Without question, she threw back on her slides and headed for the mystery man's house to return his long lost wallet. "Why am I doing this." She thought to herself. "I'm too nice.." She said under her breath.

For it wasn't in fact that she was too nice. Secretly she did want to see him again. However, she was afraid she would have another attack, maybe worse than the last. Either way, she didn't seem to care. She just wanted to get it over with already instead of procrastinating and making the feeling in her gut worsen the longer she held on to the wallet.

The closer she got to his house she could feel the knots in her stomach tighten. Looking back to his wallet making sure she had the right address, she nodded to herself and walked towards the apartment complex.

Still uneasy as she walked, she looked up to the number she had seen before, apartment number 4. Sighing she walked up the stairs and stepped to his front door on the little welcome mat that looked like it needed to be replaced. She slowly raised her hand and latched onto the golden door knocker. It looked brand new. "They must have remodeled recently." She thought to herself. She pulled back the golden handle and pushed it forward creating a knock at the door. Pulling her band back she put it in her pocket and began to fidget nervously. Looking up and down examining the dark outside walls and the little black peephole at the middle top of the door.

Her eyes shot to the door handle as she heard it wiggle. "Deep breaths."

"Can I help you?" The man at the door asked. Standing there shocked she zoned out starring at him not realized he asked a question. "Uhm, hello?"

"hmm? OH SORRY." She quickly let out in embarrassment.

He stood there looking at her with confusion. "She's too old to be a girl scout." He thought, "Definitely not from the bank, or any job for that matter, she's dressed too casual and would probably be holding a paper of some sort. Or at least have a lanyard." He thought over examining her wondering why precisely she had shown up.

"I uh- we met at the gas station the other day. You might not remember but You uh, helped me up when I ran into the door," She explained while internally cringing.

"OH ITS YOU!" He said loosening up and pointing at her now realizing who she was. "Yeah, I remember you! You ran smack dab into the glass door." he declared remembering the moment trying not to laugh.

"Aheh yeah.." she mumbled, chuckling sarcastically.

Clearing his throat and straighten himself he asked, "So what can I do for you?" He leaned against the door frame crossing his arms waiting for a reply.

"Ah!" She said remembering the sole reason she was there. She pulled out her other hand removing the brown wallet from her white jacket pocket. She held her hand out for him to take it. He leamed off the door frame surprized. "You dropped it when you helped me up." She stated trying to sound clear.

"Oh Woah thank you so much! I thought one of my friends had taken it as a prank or something."

"Ah.." She said awkwardly. After the small silence, he asked, "Would you like to come in for a drink?"

"Ah no, I'm okay. I need to get back to my apartment anyways. I just moved here so I have some shopping and stuff I have to get done."

He stood there looking quite disappointed that his hero had declined his offer. "Maybe another time I guess." He shrugged off the disappointment. "Thank you again for returning my wallet. I owe you one. If there is anything you need, you know where I live." He said letting out a small chuckle in the amusement of it all.

"Ah okay, thanks. And no problem about the wallet, it was nothing really." She said itching to leave.

"Well, I guess I'll let you get to your food." He said sending a generous smile towards her.

"Oh yeah right." She said sadly.

"Well, until next time!" He said smiling and waving at her whilst closing the door.

Dumbfound she stood for a second trying to figure out what had just happened. Did he really not remember her? After everything, they had been through? How? Why? He had done so much for her how could he not remember? She kept questioning and questioning wondering the same thing over and over again.

Why?
