Naraku tampers with the well and Kagome is now sent back farther than she was oriinally supposed to go. The well had a purple light instead of its normal blue glow. Once sent back farther she meets a teen sesshomaru who recognizes Kagome as his mate. She has no clue why Sess is claiming her. Until Sess's parents tells her that she has his scent mark. Kagome thought it made sense because she does hang out with the Sesshomaru from the future past that she goes to.
