Kagome falls further into the past because of Kikyo tampering with the well. Unknowingly, Kikyo had sent Kagome to a past that needed her more than theirs. Kagome fell in love with Inuyasha and Sess's father Lord Inutaisho. She also birthed Sesshomaru while there. Finally, she was sent back to the future past before realizing that she would have to leave her mate and only son. Kagome grieved for days when Sesshomaru had come for her.
