It feels nice getting to sleep in a comfortable bed and not have to worry about my dad coming in and pulling me to the floor for no reason. I can get a couple of more minutes in before I have to get up fo-
"WAKE UPPP!" Alex screamed.
I groaned and rolled over and put the blanket over my head only to get it pulled off of me. Alex started jumping on the bed so I grabbed her leg and pulled it so she fell but missed the bed and landed straight on the floor. I looked over and saw her just sitting there like nothing happened. I giggled and she looked at me.
"Is my pain funny to you?" She frowned.
"That's what you get for waking me up." I got up and walked to the bathroom to take a shower. By the time I finished dress and did my hair we had still had a couple of more minutes before we had to leave for school so I went down stairs to find something to eat while Alex still got ready.
When I got to the kitchen Alex's mom was there in her scrubs making coffee so I'm guessing she's going to work now. She looked up at me and smiled.
"Good morning." I said giving her a small smile.
"How are you feeling?" I shrugged.
"I'm alright I guess. Alex has helped me a lot and so have you letting me stay here." I paused for a second. "Thank you." She smiles and me and shook her head.
"It's nothing sweetheart. I notice how much Alex cares about you. She doesn't do this to just anyone so I know there's something special about you." She smiled and gave me a pat on my shoulder before leaving the house. I sat there in thought about what Alex's mom said. Soon after I heard Alex run down the stairs.
"You ready?"
"I didn't get to eat anything." I pouted. Alex chuckled and grabbed my hand.
"I'll stop and get you breakfast on the way now let's go." She said pulling me along.

We pulled into the school parking lot and got out. A couple of people gave us weird stares, it's probably because I have some good ass breakfast sandwiches in my hand that they wish they can have, but of course that's not the real reason. Alex isn't popular but she's very known in the school and me, a nobody, walking next to her is gonna cause people to look. We got to our class and sat down next to Logan who looked tired as always. I gave Alex her sandwich and she licked her lips before she opened her mouth to take a bite. Logan quickly snatch the sandwich out of her hand and started eating it."Hey that's mine!" Alex whined like a 5 year old and crossed her arms.
"Too bad it's mine now." Logan said sticking his tongue out. I giggled and they both looked at me.
"Alida I will love you forever if you give me a piece of that sandwich." Alex gave me puppy dog eyes which was adorable.
"Nope." I said. Alex looked at me as if she was about to cry. I giggle and ripped my sandwich apart and gave her half of it. She smiled like a little kid that just got candy.
"See Logan, Alida is nicer than you." Logan rolled his eyes and shrugged as he continued eating the sandwich.
"Hey so do you want to go to the park and take some photos for the project tomorrow?" Alex asked me. I nodded, she smiled and sat back since class was about to start.

I stood there in line trying to figure out what to eat for lunch. It's not like any of this school food is real anyway, I swear I saw some kid spit out their burger saying there was plastic in it. I decided just to get some cookies and head back to the table. Logan and Ash were debating about something dumb like always and Alex was watching them amused. I sat down next to Alex and started eating the cookies I got."I don't think that's considered lunch the last time I checked." Alex said.
"I don't think you own my body the last time I checked." I said back. Both Ash and Logan started laughing at Alex.
"Damn Alex she told you." Logan said. Alex smacked him upside his head which caused Logan to smack Alex back. Soon they started wrestling which caused people to stare at them. I felt uncomfortable so I grabbed Alex by the shirt and pulled her off of Logan. They were both laughing like idiots.
"You guys are idiots." Ash shook her head as Alex flipped her off.
"Alex don't forget that you promised me and the boys from soccer that you would hang out and play a game with us today." Alex stared at Logan like she didn't know what he was talking about but then she realized and put her head in her hands.
"I told Alida that I would take her out clothes shopping today." Alex groaned.
"I'll take her." Ash said. We all looked at her and she looked serious.
"Really?" Ash nodded. Alex almost jumped across the table to give Ash a hug and thank her.
"It's no problem, while you two are playing soccer, I can get to know Alida and maybe after the game we can go out to eat together." Logan and Alex nodded. I kinda just sat there confused as in what just happened.
"Ok I'll leave you some money to shop for clothes and I'll see you later." Alex said as she pulled out her wallet giving me a couple of twenties. We all stared at her wondering where she got this money from.
"What?" Alex looked at all of us confused.
"Where'd you get all this money from?" Ash asked still shocked.
"Oh uh, I got a check from my grandma the other day. She usually sends me money every month." She said scratching the back of her neck.
"I need to be friends with your grandma." Logan said and we all laughed. The bell rung signaling lunch is over so we started to head to our classes but Ash stopped me.
"Meet me in the parking lot right after school." I nodded and she walked away.
This will be fun.
