Letting your hand drop into your lap, you let out a sigh. Maybe leaving Hizashi a voicemail wasn't the best idea. You had said too much. If anything, you should have at least prepared an outline or even a script of what you wanted to tell him instead of going in blind and revealing more than you wanted.
Oh well, there wasn't much you could do about it now.
Besides, you needed to focus on the current state of corruption in Kyoto. To be honest, it was a total mess, so much so that you immediately noticed it when you arrived at the agency to receive your briefing. It had never been this bad, not even when you first started as a sidekick! Not since All Might had been around...
But, you supposed, people might have started to notice the symbol of peace becoming weaker, which really put you into a bad spot. Though, it was your job to handle these things, so you really didn't have much room to complain about it, especially since relying on another hero to keep everything peaceful was bad work on your part.
"I brought the files you asked for, and some coffee."
Turning around, you saw Toshiro, balancing two cups on two large boxes. Springing up, you quickly moved the coffees and took the boxes, slamming them down on the table when you realized they were heavier than they looked.
"Fucking- that hurt my back," you whined, gently massaging your aching muscles.
"No one told you to just grab both boxes like that. Anyways, I'll have the rest of the files by Saturday."
Looking at the large boxes, you frowned, "There's more?!"
"I told you it was bad. These are just people who I suspect might be doing business with Gashadokuro."
"I asked for people who you know for sure about."
He sighed, opening a box, "Well, the thing about that is I need to get those files past the noses of those who are affiliated with him, so it requires a bit of extra caution and time if you will."
You moved to stand next to him, as he took out a couple of folders.Taking one, you flipped through it as you slowly sipped your bitter beverage.
"We're going to be here all night just sorting through these," you murmured.
"Day two and we're already pulling an all-nighter. You ready?"
"Tell me everything you know."

Thursday, 12:03 p.m. - Shota
It has been a few days since... since they, well any of them, had last spoken to one another. Let alone see each other. That was by all means alright. In fact, he had modified his own schedule just so that he wouldn't have a run in with them after what happened...
Besides, he really didn't need anymore distractions, especially since he had to focus on preparing his students for a possible attack from villains. That was his first, foremost, responsibility.
Pulling out his yellow sleeping bag, he sighed. These past few days have been horribly exhausting, so much so that a lunch-break nap was very much needed. Unfortunately, his oh-so-desired nap was abruptly interrupted by an obnoxious blond bursting into the room.
"HEY SHOTA-"
"Will you shut up," he growled.
Colliding with the other man, Hizashi wrapped a trapping arm around his friend and began to scroll through his phone.
Grunting, Aizawa struggled to get out of his grasp, "What the hell are you-"
"Just shut up and listen!" he yelled pushing the device against his friend's ear.
He was just about to shove his hand away, when he heard a familiar voice:
"Hey Hizashi. It's me-"
"What's this ab-"
"Shut up!" The blond growled.
"-probably noticed that I've suddenly disappeared. Don't worry. I'm alright. I'm safe." She sighed.
"I don't think this is meant for me-"
Hizashi shushed him. Finally relenting to the blond's persistence, he took the phone and listened to the voicemail.
"I'm not sure where to start... I'm not in Musutafu anymore. I'm not going to tell you where I am, because I know you'll do something dumb like come find me. You'll probably figure it out, but hopefully I'll be long gone by then. Uhm, shit, I shouldn't have said that..."
"What is she talking about? Where is she?"
"I... ha... did something dumb. After Saturday, I cut a deal with someone and packed up my stuff. There were certain dangers involved, some being what you might consider fatal, but I agreed-"
He was getting frustrated now. What the hell was she even talking about and why did Hizashi insist that it was so important for him to listen to it? "Yamada if you don't tell me-"
"Why is it so hard for you to listen to a voicemail! Just shut it and I'll explain what I think about it afterwards!"
"-don't know why. I guess it was just... ugh, the smell of alcohol and him hitting me scared me so much. I couldn't stop shaking. I felt so small, so betrayed... I couldn't stay in that house any longer. I just needed time to clear my thoughts-"
That part made him sick. He didn't want to hear anymore, but Present Mic could tell he was getting anxious and pressed a hand against the phone.
"-Oh geez I probably shouldn't have said that either... anyways, I don't blame him and I'm not mad at him. I actually left a note for him explaining everything. I hate to ask this of you, especially since I know you're relationship with him isn't the best right now, but do you mind making sure he gets it? I don't think he'll go back to get it, not after what happened. It's in the box labeled 'miscellaneous'. Don't worry too much about me, okay? See you around."
Shota shot up. Handing the device back, he heaved a frustrated sigh.
"I'll go with you after school today, so we can-"
"I don't care about the letter."
Surprised, Hizashi sputtered out, "Bu-but why not?"
"I have more important things to dedicate my time to. If there's anything (Y/n) needs to tell me, she can just say it face-to-face when she gets back."
With that, he left the other man in the room. It was almost time to get back to work, and he hadn't the chance to take a nap. God, he needed some coffee.
