"There's been another incident."

"Incident?"

"This time, both Class 1-A and 1-B were involved. Multiple students were injured and one is reported missing. I'm calling an emergency meeting for all U.A. teachers-"

"Missing?"

"Further information will be provided at the meeting."

"... I see. When is the meeting?"

"Tomorrow, at 7:00 a.m."

"Hello? Earth to (Y/n)?"

"Oh, sorry Toshiro, I was thinking."

He frowned, "You're really worried about those kids, huh?"

"Yeah..."

Well who wouldn't be? This wasn't the first villain attack those kids had suffered, well class 1-A at least, but this was the first time it was something of this caliber. An unknown number of students were hospitalized. One student is missing, kidnapped. A hero is missing as well. No news on the conditions of the teachers in charge of the situation.

If it was anything like last time...

"I managed to arrange some transportation for you to Musutafu. I'll be tagging along as a measure of protection."

"That's unnecessary-"

"I know you can take care of yourself, but this is the only way I could convince them to let you return home. They were really pushing for both of us to have bodyguards for a while there. I figured it'd be convenient for you if it was me doing the job."

"There's really nothing convenient about it."

"Well I figured, I'd probably just stay at the hotel I was staying at and do some sightseeing until I get the all clear to go back, instead of bothering you all the time. Unless you'd prefer that, I could stay at your place, and we could get comfortable-"

You rolled your eyes, pushing him away from you, "Watch it."

"I'm kidding; I'm kidding. I know you've got your heart set on that Aizawa guy," he laughed.

Frowning, you realized you still hadn't called him. It's not like you didn't want to talk to him. Every single time you had the opportunity to call him, you managed to convince yourself that he'd be too busy for you. Oh, well he was probably eating, he's probably sleeping, he's teaching, and so on.

You missed him so much, but you couldn't bring yourself to call him.

"Honestly, if it hadn't been for Yamada, I doubt he would've left your bedside at all. I was shocked when he left for the training camp! The way he talked about you made me think he wouldn't be able to part with you until he was sure you were going to be okay. He's... he really cares about you."

"Ah, I made him worry..."

"He's a good guy (Y/n). I'm glad you found yourself someone like him." There was a tinge of regret in  his voice.

"You don't sound too happy about it."

Toshiro reached out to pinch your nose.

"Ney-"

"Don't worry about it, okay?"

~~~~~~~~
Returning to your house didn't feel how you thought it should have. There was a stillness that felt so heavy tears threatened to slip down your cheeks. A thin layer of dust covered almost every surface.
Immediately you got to work: dusting off surfaces, tossing out spoiled food, sweeping, etc... Until the house finally felt like a home, well almost. There was still something missing.
You set a kettle on the fire, needing some tea to ease your nerves.
Students had been hospitalized due to injuries and inhalation of gas. Bakagou had been kidnapped by the League of Villains.
At the time of the attack, you had been sleeping peacefully, unaware of the battle the students had been facing. You couldn't even imagine how Shota felt... He cared more about those kids than he would care to admit.
Biting your lip, you tapped your cell phone a few times. How selfish would it be for you to leave him to his own thoughts at this time?
He wouldn't do that to you.
Taking a deep breath, you unlocked your phone, dialing his number without a second thought.
"The number you have-"
Of course he wasn't available at the moment. You shouldn't have put off calling him for so long...
I hope he's okay...
****
"Hey Shota - I'm almost at the station."
The pro hero sighed, "You really don't need to meet up with me."
"Oh don't kid yourself. You and I both know you shouldn't be alone right now."
He had already disembarked the train. Theoretically, he could just leave without his friend. Would Hizashi really chase after him?
"Why are you in Musutafu anyways? Shouldn't you be in Kyoto?"
"No? Why would I be?"
Was there something he was missing?... Well, with everything that happened, the blond had probably been too busy to go visit (Y/n). There was probably an emergency meeting this morning, too...
"Hey, I'm here. Where are you?... Oh wait I see you, don't move!"
Hanging up, he noticed he had a missed call from-
"Yo Shota! Long time no see!"
(Y/n)
His heart skipped a beat.
"Shota?"
Is that why Hizashi had been so confused when he asked him about Kyoto?
"Shut up," he growled, clicking on redial.
Each time the phone rang felt like another eternity. She answered on the third one.
"Hello?"
