Sunggyu knew that Hoya is going to kill him for this.
First, he asked---no, begged--Hoya to let him go back to Woohyun's house. Sunggyu knew by then that Hoya's patience is already stretched too thin. He saw the frustration and felt the tension from Hoya's body. Now, he slept at Woohyun's house.
Sunggyu sat up on the couch in a somewhat dazed state. He fixed his hair and checked the time. It's 7:28. He's late for his first class. Technically late. Even if he drives his motorcycle in the fastest rate, he'll never get there on time.
Hoya's going to murder him.
He searched for a phone and found one on the floor beside a small table he pushed aside last night. Sunggyu sat on the floor and placed the telephone on his lap. He checked if it was working. When he saw that it was, he ordered some food from a restaurant he loved. The food came 15 minutes later. Sunggyu thought that it'd be nice to give Woohyun some food. Hell, his phone's been crushed, but he's still being nice. Great improvement, man, Sunggyu thought. He decided to prepare a breakfast in bed for Woohyun.
While he did so, Sunggyu was surprised that he was actually doing it. Helping Woohyun. But at the same time, he felt absolutely relaxed. It felt right that he was standing before the kitchen counter, removing the food from their plastic containers. Sunggyu actually felt that he cooked everything while he didn't actually knew how to cook. There were always people around to do that for him.
As he poured water into a glass, something tugged at Sunggyu's heart. A thought barely made it through the barriers he kept between the emotional and rational thoughts in his head. It reached out towards him, waiting to be acknowledged. Sunggyu was afraid to read the thought; he had a feeling that he knew what it was. But it pushed to be recognized and Sunggyu was nowhere near enough to being prepared for its impact.
There might be another reason why you're doing this for him, a voice said.
Yes, Sunggyu had thought of that. He had already acknowledged it. But he didn't want to give it much attention. Like he said before, his personal interests are not a priority as of this moment. But Sunggyu never thought that the feelings would be true. That they would be overwhelming him. His mind, how he acts, how he thinks. He never expected that Woohyun would affect him like this.
For the first time, his mind became clear. This. Preparing food for a stranger. But Woohyun is not a stranger. He's Woohyun, Sunggyu thought. Preparing Woohyun's breakfast felt different but at the same time, it felt like he's meant to do it for the rest of his life.
He shook his head and readied the tray. He brought it to Woohyun's room and laid it on the bed. He eyed the clock on the bedside table and decided to wake Woohyun up using an alarm. Sunggyu knew that Woohyun would kill him if he sees him again. He set the alarm to ring 5 minutes later. Sunggyu smiled, satisfied with what he has done, and went out of the house.
Woohyun felt and knew everything that Sunggyu did. He heard the bastard open the door to his room. He knew the bastard placed a tray beside him. But he pretended to sleep.
Keep calm, Woohyun, he thought. Once the bastard left his room, Woohyun opened his eyes and sat up on his bed. He turned off the alarm on his clock. He pulled the tray full of food towards him. The delicious aroma of the food made his stomach grumble. Woohyun took the fork placed neatly beside the main dish. He saw a small plate of kimchi and decided to eat it. It's not bad, he thought. Huh, there's no poison. He ate the rest of the food. Everything was suprisingly delicious.
"He couldn't have cooked this," Woohyun said. "This is too delicious." He opened the door and brought the tray to the kitchen. He was surprised that the bastard's not in the living room. He was expecting him sitting on the couch and patiently waiting for his feedback. Woohyun took the abandoned pitcher of water and filled his glass. As he drank, he saw someone moving outside. He settled the glass on the kitchen counter and went outside. Woohyun saw Sunggyu crouching beside the door. Sunggyu looked up at him and immediately covered his head. He closed his eyes and waited for the blow.
