Bam! The suit collided with the nearby truck, as I jumped up in fright when Dad did as well. Blinking , he got back to reality.

Dad winced , "That came out of nowhere."

"No shit Sherlock.". I said, looking as the parts flew back to our site.

"Give us some good news man." Rhodey said as he opened the door to our small cabin.

"I think they all made it." Dad replied back, looking at Rhodey, who sighed in relief.

"But he missed the president." I said back, chewing on some gummy bears, watching as Rhodey went back, dejected.

"You couldn't save the President with the suit. How are we gonna save Pepper with nothing?" He said , as I watched Dad contemplate his words. Suddenly his eyes opened up, as if a new idea came into his mind.

"Uh, say JARVIS. is it that time?"

"The house party protocol sir?" He replied back.

"Oh my gods, are you talking about what I think you are talking about?" I asked him, I knew this protocol. If it's true then Killian doesn't stand a chance.

"I hope so." He replied back, smiling at my excitement, as he randomly pulled me into a hug.

"After all this is over I'm gonna get this metal circle out, you with me?" He muttered into my hair, and if I didn't strain to hear it I would have probably missed it.

"Always, Dad." I said as I got up, kissing his cheek.

Our plan was ready, as we stealthily made our way to the ship where Killian was hopefully keeping Pepper and The President.

Crouching underneath a staircase, behind Rhodey and above Dad , I tried looking up, try to catch a glimpse of something. Rhodey started climbing the stairs as I followed him, Dad in tow. Like a spy, Rhodey held his gun perfectly in his hand, me included – perks of being trained slightly with a Russian Assassin – while Dad awkwardly made his way to us, trying to look cool but failing. Shaking my head at his antics I focused back.

"Come on." Rhodey mumbled to dad as we all found cover behind a truck.

"You're not gonna freak out on me , are you?" Rhodey asked me, making me look at him funny.

"I hope not." Dad added.

"Remind me again, who is the one with superpowers here?" I sarcastically said back.

"Touché." They nodded.

As soon as Rhodey gave the all clear, we moved forward, jumping over barrels as silently as we could. We all hid behind a crater as Rhodey looked out. His eyes widened, and I struggled to look where he was looking and I was shocked as well.

The president was strung up on one of the ships, wearing the Iron Patriot Armor.

Oh this is not good.

"Oh my god. He's strung up over the the oil tanker. They're gonna light him up , man ." He muttered as he looked at us.

"Viking funeral. Public execution." Dad muttered. It's not helping.

"Yeah, death by oil." Joined in Rhodey.

"Where are the Avengers when we need them." I muttered as I looked at Dad. He shrugged, although I could tell he was thinking the same thing.
