As I walk down the quiet empty street. The dark sky sprinkled in bright and dim shining stars along with a big bright moon that all hung above me. Leading me through the dark streets, when there wasn't a street light to do so. My shoes making small thudding noises as they hit the concrete sidewalk as I continued to walk. I was on my way back home from my friend's house, where I had been all day.

My arms wrapped tightly around myself as my hands run up and down my arms. Trying to keep myself warm in this chilly October night. With no sun to warm the light breeze that gently blew by. That sent chills running through my whole body, and my teeth to lightly crackle together.

I walk past more old buildings that were either stores or restaurants in this small town. All with darkened windows, as it was late and they were all closed for the night.

I whip my head to look the direction I came from. As I hear a small thudding sound behind me that almost sounded like footsteps. But when I turn around I see nothing and no one.

I turn back around and begin walking again. As a bad feeling forms inside me, butterflies flutter in my stomach and I grow nervous. The nervousness biting at me, urging me to walk faster. As I lightly pick up my pace a small amount. Feeding my fear.

The light in my path grows as I get closer to one of the very few street lights along the side of the street. Yellow-orange light surrounds me as I walk under a street light. As I pass, a large number of light decreases the farther away from the light I get. Until I'm back in the dark with only the moon's light to guide me once again.

In the quiet night I hear the same sound as I did just a few moments ago echoing in the eerie silence, only this time way louder. Like someone is taking loud forced steps, it was as if someone wanted them to be heard immediately on purpose. They were coming towards my direction. The reappearing sound startling me making my heart rate speeding up more, once again I turn back to see who or what is making that sound.

My eyes scan the area, landing on a tall hooded figure standing under the same light post as I was minutes before. The light shines down on him, both of his hands are in the grey hoodie he wore, and the shadow from the hood over his head made it hard to see his face. But I know he is looking in my direction by the way his body is positioned.

I stood and watched him as his left hand is slowly removed from his jacket pocket as he slowly raises it up in the air just above his head. His jacket sleeve falling farther down his wrist then where it sat before. Exposing the black glove covering his left hand.

Then he began to move his hand left and right slowly in a waving fashion. Until his hand slowly comes to a stop falling down limply, and resting at his side. He becomes perfectly still for a minute not moving just looking directly at me, until he comes running at me full speed.

Fear finally taking over, causing a frightened scream to fall from between my lips, and me to jump from my frozen position. Turning back around and running as fast as I can go, and as far away from him as I can.

Only a few steps are as far as I get. When I fall landing on my stomach scraping my hands and knees as I tried to catch myself, from landing on my face. Groaning out in pain as my body makes contact with the hard concrete. I quickly scramble to back my feet in a panic realizing that I had tripped over an uneven part of concrete that was separated due to a crack, making it sticking up a bit from the rest.

I have begun to run again trying to get as far away from this psycho person that was chasing after me. At night on this dark street with no one else around.

My heart beating loudly in my ears, as I hear loud footsteps still sounding behind me only at a way faster pace.

Who is this person? Why is he chasing me? What does he want? Will he catch me? What will he do to me when he catches? Many unanswered questions swarm around in my head, but none finding any kind of answer.

My muscles in my legs cry out in pain and discomfort begging for a rest as I keep pushing them to go faster. I feel blood leaking down from my still stinging injured knees running down my legs. My lungs burning, and feel like they are on fire as heavy breaths enter than exit my body frantically. If it wasn't for all the fear and adrenalin I would have already had to stop because of exhaustion.

I see a turn to the left. That seems like my best chance to lose him as I hear the footsteps behind me increasing and they are gaining on me slowly.

Once I'm close enough I turn the corner as fast as I can trying to avoid all things that might slow me down.

I look straight down the area I just turned into only to realize it's an alleyway. That separated two of the buildings from one another. With a wall at the end and no escape besides the way I came in. I hide against the wall. Slamming my fists to the sides of my head in anger and frustration. How could I have been so stupid? I just cornered myself. Now I have nowhere to run. No, where to go. I'm stuck.

Pressing my body as close as I can to the brick wall. Trying to hide in the darkness the best I can and listen. But I hear nothing the footsteps have stopped and it's quiet now. Except for my racing heart rate that pounded in my ears and heavy breaths that I keep trying to quiet down the best I could.

I stay still for a while just listening for anything to tell me if he is still out there or not. But I still hear nothing. Maybe he left? Maybe he is gone?

I scoot closer to the exit peeking a little around the corner. Looking in both directions. Nothing. He is nowhere to be seen. I cautiously take a few steps out. Until I'm back on the sidewalk. While still cautiously looking around. I slightly relax when I still don't see him I let out a long breath I had been holding.

My body tenses back up. As a hand wraps around my throat. Pushing me backward, and into a hard brick wall. As he stands in front of me. I begin to panic, even more when I can't breathe. As his grip on my throat gets tighter crushing my windpipe, choking me. My eyes getting big out of shock, and pressure on the throat.

My hands go up to his hand that's tightly wrapped around my throat. Digging my nails into his skin, breaking it in an attempt to pry his hand off. I can sorta see his face from the now close vicinity. I look into his eyes pleading with mine for him to let go. But he doesn't even react he just has a cold concentrated look on his face as he looked back into my eyes intently his dark eyes are empty of any emotion. Just watching the life slowly withdraw from my body.

My lungs burn, my body is slowly losing energy, and my eyes keep threatening to close. Desperate for air. I need a way to get him off me. When an idea pops in my mind. I bring my leg up. With all the power I had left. Hitting him in the groin with my knee.

His face turns to anger. He growls irritated. Letting my throat go. Just to grab my hair. In a strong grip. Pulling back which turned me around. So now my back is to him.

Then throwing my head forward. I see a brick wall coming closer and closer in my vision. My forehead making contact with the hard wall. As extreme pain exploded throughout my whole head. The grip on my hair disappeared. And I crumbled to the sidewalk. My body too weak to hold itself up anymore. I land on my right side. More pain filling my body. Both of my hands grip my forehead. As if it will take the pain away. Instead, it creates a stinging pain to form. As my sweaty hands touch the big bump that now formed. With a warm sticky substance leaking from it. Where the rough surface of the wall had broken skin. Quickly taking my hands away. From the very dim moonlight. I could now see. It was blood that was leaking from the wound and was now covering my hands.

Black spots clouded my blurry vision. As my head pounded and ached. I began to feel dizzy and nauseous. As I look up at the dark starry sky. All the stars began to swirl around as the world spun in my vision. My eyes began to close forcefully. No matter how hard I try to stay awake. Darkness forcefully took over. All the pain fading as fast as my conciseness did.
