#20 Benedict....dear?

INT. HALLWAY - MORNING

Benedict and Charlotte brought Elle and Paul on a small tour around the campus.
Since it is Sunday, there are not much people around.
The ones that they met while walking around were the students from another faculty, so nobody has notice them yet.

CHARLOTTE
(Relieved)
So, that's pretty much where I study and hang out the most.

PAUL
(Place arm around Charlotte's shoulder)
I'm glad that our baby girl is comfortable here.

ELLE
I never once worry about that!
(Looks at Benedict)
I'm sure Ben has taken good care of Carly.

BENEDICT
(Clasps arm behind body, smiling)
Yes, of course.

Elizabeth and Emily are walking to the cafeteria for lunch from their dorm room when they see Charlotte standing infront of the classroom with Professor Cumberbatch and two other people.

EMILY
(Squinting her eyes trying to get a better look)
Is that... Charlotte over there?

ELIZABETH
(Nods as she recognises her)
Yes....! What is she doing here on a Sunday?

EMILY
(Tilted head)
I don't know. She didn't tell me that she'll be here. Who's the other three person over there?

ELIZABETH
(Gasps)
T-that's Professor Cumberbatch!!
And the other two looks like they could be....her parents?

EMILY
(Furrowed brows)
Holy shit...is she in trouble?

ELIZABETH
It could be. Why else would you bring your parents over to meet the Head of School?

EMILY
But I wonder what's the matter. Should we go over? Maybe we could help?

ELIZABETH
(Nods quickly)
I agree. She'll need us there.

Benedict freezes and stare with wide eyes when he noticed Elizabeth and Emily approaching them.
He gives Charlotte a nudge to alert her of what's going on.
Charlotte looks at him in confusion and before she could react,

EMILY

(Taps on Charlotte's shoulder)
Hey, Charlotte!

CHARLOTTE
This voice.... Emily??
(Turn over and smile nervously)
Heyyy. Elizabeth's here too....

ELIZABETH
(Smiles)
Why didn't you tell us that you're going to be here today? But I see you have company here.
(Turns and smile at Elle and Paul)
and hi, Professor Cumberbatch.

BENEDICT
(Avoids eye contact)
Good morning.. Miss Kensington, Miss Carmichael.

CHARLOTTE
(Nervous)
Ah... this is my mum, and my dad.
Mum, dad, this is Emily and Elizabeth.

EMILY & ELIZABETH
(Smiles)
Nice to meet you both, Mr and Mrs Anderson.

ELLE
(Gives them a hug)
Hello, loves. I've heard so much about you two.

PAUL
It's a pleasure to finally meet you both.

ELIZABETH

EMILY
(Whispers)
Are you in trouble? Why are your parents here with Professor Cumberbatch? What did you do?

CHARLOTTE

(Bites lower lips)

ELLE
(Clasping hands together)
Ah, since the two of you are here, should we have lunch together?

PAUL
Great idea, honey!

CHARLOTTE
(Wide eyes)
No, mum! I-ah...I'm sure they have things to do...right?

ELIZABETH
(Shooks her head)
Actually, we got out from our rooms to get lunch.

ELLE
Fantastic!
(Looks at Benedict)
But Benedict dear, will all of us fit in your car?

ELIZABETH & EMILY
(Eyes wide and jaw drops)

EMILY
(Whispers)
What the hell is going on?
We're getting in Professor Cumberbatch's car??

ELIZABETH
(Whispers back)
I have no idea!
And the fact that Charlotte's mum is on first-name basis with Professor Cumberbatch....
Do they know each other?

BENEDICT
(Clears throat)
Well...I guess I'll have to hail a cab.

Benedict then proceed to order a ride with an app and went to the car park to get his car.
A few minutes later, the car pulled up at the entrance and so does Benedict's. Elle and Paul insisted that they ride in this car while the girls can get chat together in Benedict's car.
Elizabeth and Emily both freezes and didn't know if they should hop on into their Professor's car.

BENEDICT
(Wind down car window)
Get in.
