INT. LIBRARY - MORNING
Charlotte sat there blinking in disbelief.
TOM
(Shakes his head)
Loved. I meant loved. I didn't t mean to startle you like that my dear. It's a long story but I only know some of it as Benedict doesn't like talking about her.
CHARLOTTE
(Looks down)
What do you know about her?
TOM
Ben once told me that Diana was his neighbour and they grew up together. They went to the same school and was very close....like family. Everyone thought they were a thing and for a time I think Ben wishes to be with her too. Things went south when Diana and Ben entered a competition in college which would help secure Ben's scholarship....
CHARLOTTE
(Bites lower lip)
What happened? Did they lose?
TOM
(Sigh)
Yes. And it was because of Diana.
She was in love with another kid from the opponent team and has decided to leak their project information to him just so he can win instead of Ben.
Ever since then I guess Ben was heartbroken, not because of Diana liking some other kid but because of her betrayal. She was always like a family to him.
CHARLOTTE
(Says softly)
Well he could've just tell me about it....
Now I feel bad... for being mad at him for not telling me about something he doesn't want to be reminded about.
TOM
(Walks over and places his hand on Charlotte's back)
Hey, it's okay. It's not like your doing it on purpose. Maybe you should tell him how you feel about it. Talk to each other more? It makes me sad knowing that you're sad.
CHARLOTTE
(Raises her head to look at Tom and smiled)
You're right. Thank you Tom-
(Réalises that there's student around)
Professor Hiddleston. It's time for me to get back to my class before the next one starts. I'll see you around.
TOM
(Stands up and put his hand into his pocket)
Just know that you can always talk to me when you have troubles alright? I'll see you in class Miss Anderson.

INT.CLASS - AFTERNOON
Charlotte is sitting at the back of the class with her friends.
ELIZABETH
Why are we sitting so far away from the stage?
We can't get a good view of
(Whispers to Charlotte)
your darling husband from here!
EMILY
I have no idea. Charlotte was the first one to be here, she chose the seats.
CHARLOTTE
(Awkward smile)
I figured we should probably keep a low profile?
ELIZABETH
(Grinning)
Oooh~ I like being secretive!
Before Charlotte or Emily could say another word, Benedict enters the class.
BENEDICT
(Places his files and books on the table before looking up and quickly scanning the class)
Good afternoon....
(His stare stops when he sees Charlotte)
class.
Charlotte, feeling a little guilty after knowing the truth, quickly looks away and avoids making eye contact with him throughout the entire lesson.
Emily and Elizabeth though, were giggling like two shy high school girls whenever Benedict looks towards their direction.
A few minutes before the class ends, Benedict passed out the attendance sheet for the students to mark their attendance.
Charlotte's decision for sitting at the back of the class seems to be a bad one as she, being the person sitting at the back, now have to bring the sheet back to Benedict.
She walks to his table and places the sheet in front of him.
BENEDICT
(Writing notes on his document)
Thank you
(Looks up and sees Charlotte)
Miss Anderson.....
He stares at her as if he wanted to say something else but his phone rang.
Buzz buzz buzz
ELIZABETH
(Yelling softly)
Psst psst, Charlotte! Are you walking with us? Or do you have other plans?
Charlotte looks at Benedict's phone and looks back at Elizabeth and Emily.
CHARLOTTE
I have to go now... Professor Cumberbatch.
See you.... when I see you.
(Walks away and joins Elizabeth and Emily)
Benedict wanted to apologise but was interrupted by the phone call.
He looks at the caller id and groaned.
BENEDICT
You better have a good reason to call during my work hour.
MARTIN
Oh I'm so sorry. Is this a bad time?
BENEDICT
Seeing that I've already picked up your call, the answer is probably no? Not a bad time but I'm in a bad mood. Now say, what do you want?
MARTIN
I knew I should've called Charlotte instead but we don't have her phone number. Mind texting me later?
BENEDICT
What do you want with her?
MARTIN
Amanda and I really need a night off... we're wondering if we could drop the kids at your house again...?
BENEDICT
(Pinches his nose bridge with his eyes closed)
What time? And what do you mean by the kidS? Did Amanda give birth to another one in these past few days?
MARTIN
No. Although I'd want one more. Laughs
Amanda's nephew Victor, he's a year older than Rosie.
ROSIE (in the background)
Are you talking to aunt Charlotte? Victor! It's Charlotte! Can we go to her house please?
Daddy I want to talk to her! Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!
MARTIN
You hear that?
BENEDICT
I'll be home early then but Charlotte's probably going home now.
MARTIN
Thank you, mate. We really needed some space from the kids. I'll drop them off later in the evening. I better not waste any more of your time now. Talk to you soon. Bye!
BENEDICT
Bye.
