Maggie watched as Cristal slowly sat up. She could see the pain written all over her face. She had been laying in the same spot for a day now, and Maggie had feared that she would never wake up. But even with Cristal seeming to be better, Maggie had to admit that she was starting to loose hope.

"Cristal." Maggie said.

Her friends eyes locked on her where Maggie sat beside Mark's cell. Tears filled Cristal's eyes as she slowly crawled over.

"I'm so glad to see you." Cristal cried.

Maggie could do nothing but hug her friend. She needed to stay calm and strong for Cristal.

Mark was quiet as he watched.

"Where's Luis?" Cristal asked. "I saw him, he was here, alive."

Maggie heard Mark snort bitterly. "He's probably dead by now."

Cristal cried harder into Maggie's shoulder. She glared at Mark through the darkness. "He could still be alive. Maybe he's just in another room."

It took a while for Cristal to calm down, but she finally did. Once she was stable she realized that Maggie was in cuffs. "Why are you chained? He didn't do that to me."

A shiver ran down Maggie's spine. "I'm not sure."

"He must be afraid of you." Mark's deep voice rumbled.

"What do you mean?" Maggie asked.

"For as long as I've been here I've never seen his face, but he always talks about you. I've never been able to understand why, but I think there's more than one person in on this and they have something against you."

"But why are they scared of me?"

"I don't know." Mark replied. "Maybe that fear that you're a fighter; like I used to be." He whispered shamefully.

Maggie took in what he said. He was right, she had a strong will inside of her and she would have to stay hopeful no matter what. They had broken Mark, but she had to fight til the end, even til death.

A moment later, they listened as footsteps echoed down the hall way to their door. Two people where talking, and Maggie knew that one of them was the killer, but she couldn't place the other's tone.

"What should we do with Luis?" The killer said.

The others voice chuckled. "Let's play a game. Get Cristal."

The door swung open and two men came into view with masks on. Cristal screamed as their capture pulled her away from Maggie. Mark stood and tried to reach out to the other man, but he jumped out of reach. The other man unhooked Maggie's chain from the wall before he started walking. Without a chance to  stand, Maggie began dragging across the floor with her arms twisting in pain. She refused to cry anymore and took the pain as it came.

Looking up Maggie saw the man fighting to get Cristal out of the room and down the other side of the hall.

"What's you're problem!" Maggie cried as Cristal's screams echoed off the walls. "Why can't you just leave my friends alone?"

The man pulling her chuckled again. "What would be the fun in that?"

Her heart was pounding her chest as the man stopped dragging her and jerked her up to her feet. He shoved her inside a small dimly lit room before stepping in and closing the door. She turned and stared into the holes in his mask where his eyes should be.

He continued to stare at her, letting the suspense build. "You really don't remember a thing, do you?" He took a step forward and Maggie backed up.

"I'm not sure what I should be remembering."
