My name is F/N L/N. I'm nineteen and all around a pretty lonely person. I've never really dated anyone yet because my kpop obsession tends to scare people off. Which honestly, I don't blame them. I get maybe one hour of sleep a night because I'm busy watching crack videos. For years I had always thought it would be so awesome to be in a kpop group. But I've pretty much gave up on that idea. I can't even count how many times I've auditioned.
But my best friend Krysten keeps encouraging me though.
"Y/n, I just got out of school. So, tell me. Have you got any news yet?" She said smiling up at me.
I rolled my eyes, "No. Like always."
"Awe. Don't give up babygirl. You got this."
"No. No, I don't. Just forget it. I'm not auditioning anymore."
She sighed, "It's a shame. I know how much you wanted this to work out."
"Eh, its alright. By the way, did you mother say you could stay the night?"
"Of course. She wouldn't say no to you, she loves you."
I chuckled, Krysten is a nice girl. She's seventeen, still in high school and dating another student named Claire. Krysten and I have been friends since we were little, but I admit, she can be a little annoying. Like right now, she knows I'm never going to be an idol. But she won't stop pushing me to follow my dream. But that dream was ridiculous and impractical.
When we got to my house my mother was just finishing dinner. She looked up from the stove with a look of slight annoyance. "Where've you been all day?"
"Around." I said, as I sat down at the table.
"Well you haven't been in school for over a year and you don't have a job, so you obviously weren't doing anything productive."
"Mother, please. I'm tired."
She rolled her eyes and set a couple plates for me and Krysten. I looked up at her, "Are you and Dad not eating in here?"
"Your dad isn't home yet. And I already ate."
"Oh, okay."
A few minutes later she left Krysten and I, so we could eat. There was nachos and some watermelon for later.
Krysten looked at me and whispered just in case mother could still hear. "It doesn't sound like you two are getting along?"
I shrugged, "I guess. But it's alright. It's all my fault anyway."
"Why is it your fault?"
"I'm just lazy and they're always busy, so when we do see each other, we fight."
She patted the back of my hand, "What have you been fighting about?"
"Primarily me not getting a job. But we even fight about little things. Like yesterday, I told her my pants were getting too tight and I need to get a larger size. She just called me fat and told me she wanted to throw me out of the house."
"Yikes. What about you and your father?"
I rolled my eyes, "What about him? He doesn't even talk to me anymore. When he eventually comes home, he just walks up to his room and ignores me."
"Sheesh, I didn't know it was that bad."
I shrugged, "It's alright, let's not talk about that though."
