While Krysten and I were in town, we went to the mall and bought some shoes. Had lunch, and took tons of selfies that she insisted I post on Instagram. By the end of the day I had to shut off my notifications because my screen was constantly lit up.When we were on the malls third floor I seen a book store. "Krysten, lets go!"
She groaned in annoyance, "Ugh, why do you want to go in a book store? You can listen to books on your phone, you know?"
"It's not the same though." When I stepped inside I grabbed a basket and went to the first shelf. I began to grab the books by my favorite authors. Reading is one of the few things I enjoy doing, with reading it feels like I can temporarily go into another world.
Krysten looked at me and chuckled, "Think you got enough books?"
When I looked down, my basket was full and there was two large stacks on the ground, "I... um... don't talk to me ever again."
She smiled, grabbed a buggy, and began to pile all the books in it for me.
"Is there anything you want?"
Krysten looked around and went to the magazine section, she grabbed a few and came back, "I'll have these."
I set them down with the rest and continued to look around.
When I was finished I pushed the buggy to the register and began to set them on the counter to be scanned. It took a while but eventually they were all scanned and bagged.
The cashier looked at me hesitantly, so I asked, "How much is it going to cost?"
She looked down at the ground while she asked, "Are... you the guy from Instagram?"
I nodded, "Yep."
She looked and smiled, "Really, can I take a selfie with you?"
I chuckled, "Absolutely."
After a moment she took a few cute selfies, "Ah, thank you so much."
I nodded, "No problem, but back to my purchase-"
She quickly shook her head, "You can just have them."
My eyes went wide, "What? But there's so many."
She smiled, "Don't worry, it's fine."
I quickly thanked her and Krysten and I took our bags to my car.
Krysten chuckled, "You literally got noticed in less than twenty four hours."
"And it's all your fault."
She smacked my shoulder, "Oh, don't act like it's a bad thing. You just got a bunch of free stuff."
"Yea, I guess. But it's weird."
"Why is it weird?"
I shrugged, "I'm just not used to it. Especially since it happened so suddenly."
She nodded, "That makes sense."
We got in the car and started to drive around. It was mid June and the weather was pretty nice. So we decided to head to the lake and walk around.
There wasn't that many people there. A few people on kayaks, some were swimming, and the others were just walking around like us.
Krysten then ran over to the playground and sat on one of the swings. "Y/n, come over here!"
