Don't Tell Anyone (Nct ff)

Chapter 5

-6 days later-

   It's been six days since I was flown to Korea. During that time I've been practicing singing and dancing. I've called my mother a few times and texted Krysten a bunch. And every time I go out Jaegeun has been watching over me like a hawk.

-Flashback-

   "Jaegeun, can't you just walk around the store while I shop by myself."

   He shook his head, "My job is to make sure you're safe. And I can not do that from across the store."

   I have things to buy that I can't let him see, I thought. "I promise I'll be safe. I'll wear sunglasses and my face covering, okay."

   He hesitated, "Well..."

   "If anything goes wrong I'll text you and I'll scream if it's an emergency."

   "Fine. But be careful, I'll be in the movie aisle."

   I waved, "See ya."

   He nodded as he walked away.

   Finally, I thought. I quickly grabbed everything I figured I'd need and I sped to the register.

   The woman scanned the items and looked up at me. She couldn't see my face but she seen my short hair and looked confused.

   Please don't say anything, I thought.

   After a moment she shrugged and told me the price. I couldn't understand but I looked at the screen and it said 20,000 won. I gave her the money that Jaegeun gave me earlier today.

   She smiled and waved as I walked off.

   As I waited I texted Jaegeun that I was ready to go. And I sighed as I waited. If I thought this was difficult it's probably only going to get worse when I'm in a group.

-End of Flashback-

   According to Jaegeun I will know what group I will be in by tomorrow morning.

   The thought was scary but also exciting. Who will it be? Will they be nice? And what will they be like?

   I'm sure I'm a fan of whoever it is. But what if they don't like me? Ah, I am so nervous.

   My boss had also said he wanted to see me this afternoon. So I had Jaegeun drive me back to his office.

   He looked up at me from his desk, "Everything is going according to planned. The group has been preparing for your arrival for the past few days. So you will know who they are in the morning."

   I chuckled, "So they know who I am? But I don't know who they are?"

   He shrugged, "Actually you do know who they are. We see liking their Instagram pictures all the time."

   I thought for a moment, I wonder who it could be? "Well, what will happen when I meet them?"

   "There will be an immediate announcement to the public and in a few days you'll have your first photo shoot with the group."

   I nodded, "Cool, so is there anything else I need to know?"

   "You should pack up all your things because you'll be moving into the groups dorm tomorrow."

   "Okay, thank you." I said, then Jaegeun soon said his goodbyes and led me outside.

   A few minutes after I left, a man ran into the office room. "Sir."

   He looked up, "Yes?"

   "I have been doing some research into Chance. And there is no birth records of a Chance L/N. He didn't appear until a week ago."
