"Guess who," Louis sing-songs as he knocks on Bella's door while rocking back and forth on his feet, not being able to stop a bright smile from appearing on his face.
"I don't know," is muffled from behind the door before he hears the ruffling of bed sheets. "Go away."
"Aw but love, I just want to see your beautiful morning face."
"I look like a walrus."
"A very pretty walrus."
"Fuck off."
Louis laughs and knocks on the door once again, knowing she'll get up sooner or later to answer, but only if he keeps annoying her. She's not a morning person as Louis quickly found out the last time he came to her dorm in the morning and got a hairbrush thrown at him. He doesn't care how early it is though, it's his only day off without classes and he wants to spend it with her. He knocks once more. "I'm still here."
"Which is why I'm not answering."
"I have coffee." No he doesn't.
He hears the ruffling of sheets once again and the pounding of her feet on the floor. She soon opens the door, rubbing a hand over her face before looking down at his hands and not seeing any coffee. Bella punches Louis in the shoulder before walking away from the door, letting Louis in. "Liar."
"Hey, it's the only way I knew you'd open the door."
Bella slides back under the sheets and mumbles something uncomprehensive, leaving Louis sitting on the end of the bed.
"How about, if you get up, I'll actually buy you coffee."
She moans and pulls the blanket off her head. "And a doughnut?"
Louis laughs, rubbing her legs. "And a doughnut."
Bella smiles and throws the sheets off of her completely, walking over to the closet. "You should get out," she says as she pushes through all her tops.
"No."
"Louis, I have to change."
"I know," he smiles and situates himself on the bed so that his hands are rested behind his head; legs sprawled out in front of him. "Which is exactly the reason why I'm not leaving."
Bella turns to face him, a hand rested on her hip as she puts her weight into her left foot. "Then cover your eyes and go under the blanket or something."
Now it's Louis' turn to moan as he nods and throws the blanket over his head. "I'm only giving you thirty seconds though."
"Lou-"
"30... 29..."
Immediately he hears hangers being pushed around in the closet followed by the pounding of her feet, presumably trying to put on a pair of jeans. And then he hears a thump louder than the others and he can't help but pull off the blanket to see what happened.
Bella is lying on the floor, jeans halfway up her legs as she tries to pull them up more, and unfortunately for Louis she has already put a top on. She turns around to look at Louis and sees he's come out from under the blanket. Her eyes widen and she tries more furiously to pull her jeans up. "Louis! I still have like 10 seconds."
Louis is laughing so loud and obnoxiously at this point that he's almost falling off the bed. His hand is clutching his stomach as he rolls around on the mattress, blankets covering him once again. "You just... I..." He can't complete a sentence from his fit of laughter, and he soon falls off the bed, landing on his bum. However, his laughing doesn't subside. "You should have seen your face!"
"You shouldn't have been able to see my face you perv!"
His face is as red as a tomato now from laughing so hard and he finally wipes the tears from under his eyes to look at her, though his smile doesn't fade. "Excuse me for trying to look at my girlfriend."
Bella is smiling now too, giving Louis the bird and standing up to put on a belt. "You're really cute when you laugh like that, you know."
"I am aware of my freakishly good looks, yes."
"How about your ego?"
"That too."
Ten minutes later after Bella brushed her teeth and did her makeup, the two are walking out the dorm. Their hands are intertwined as they walk through the campus to the café, their laughter rarely subsiding.
"So have you started that book?" Louis asks as he opens the door for her.
"What do you think?"
"I think you're going to fail."
"You say that every time," Bella says through a smile.
Louis just shrugs and the two sit down and order their breakfast.
Their conversation is light as they sip at their coffee and Bella eats her doughnut.
Louis smiles at her when she laughs, and he's sure he's about to just explode from fondness.
He really wouldn't mind it staying like this forever if he were to be honest.
