Hours earlier

Cerian.
Two hours that's how long Vince has been driving me around town. Until I asked him to pull over at some run down liquor store at the side of the road.

"Just leave me here,I'll find my way back home,"

Vince, gave me 'The look,' that said, "It's not safe,I just can't leave you here," which made me huff in annoyance because I really wanted to be alone and not explain shit to no one.

"That's an order," I claimed my authority  to him, though that wasn't my best move. "Look just go pick Denver from the office,he's probably done. I'll be home,I promise,"

Vince, didn't look at all convinced by my last statement, but he didn't argue and I took that as a chance to walk into the liquor store. I saw him drive away from the corner of my eye.

The store was empty, the only one present was the lady at the counter. She had midnight black hair styled into a Bob cut, dark make up and lips painted in a thick purple lipstick.

She hardly acknowledged my presence as I walked in,my legs carrying me straight to the shelf that had my favorite spirit and there it was, seated on the top shelf just waiting for me to take it.

I took two bottles of Don Julio and went to the counter, "That will be fifty dollars," Said the girl in a bored tone. I paid for my drinks and happily skipped out of the store.

Why happily? You may ask, the answer is simple,I was going to get drunk and forget about Denver or this night ever happened ,besides, I've been sober for almost a month now. That's a milestone achievement on my part.

I got a cab and asked the driver to drop me off at "The Emperor hotel," since I wouldn't be going back home for god knows how long. Going to Dean's was an option but I knew Denver will just come looking for me,tell me a lot of sweet nothings that will win me over and I'll go back home with him, then again ,staying with Dean meant telling him what happened and I honestly don't feel like talking.

"We are here," The cab driver announced. I paid the guy, telling him to keep the change then got out of the car and went into the glamorous hotel.

"Good evening sir, welcome to The emperor," The lady at the desk said to me with a warm welcoming smile.

"Can I an executive room," I requested, slipping out my credit card and placing it on the counter.

"There," She swiped the card, then handed it back to me, "Your suite is on the top floor, room 1009, do you have any laguage you need help with?"

"No,I'm fine,thanks,"

~
The room was beautiful, just like the rest of the hotel, had a bit of an middle eastern theme like beautiful arches on the door way,Aladdin's lamps ,lighting up the room, beautiful Mosaics on the wall but what I loved most was the gigantic ,round ,maroon bed at the center of the room. It could fit twenty people and still have more room.

Exhausted,I toed off my shoes and crawled on the bed, unscrewing the cup off Don Julio and taken a swig of the burning liquid. To think that after all this time of taking tequila,I'd be used to the burn.

Half a bottle later and I found myself sobbing like a five year old,for reasons I can't explain because I think I'm always a happy drunk, tequila makes me happy,I'm not a sad drunk like Corny.

I think I was sobbing because secret love song  was playing...or because, something got in my eye...or it could be that my heart hurt like hell..definitely that.

When Denver told me to run away with him,I thought he was insane, I was fifteen, him sixteen ,none of us had money..well unless you count my savings for my birthday money and allowances which isn't a lot, besides, where will we run off to?
